Shion Tsumagari

Shion Tsumagari was born to a wealthy couple, the youngest of four siblings. The family was notorious for their musical capabilities, and they expected Shion to be no different. Their expectations of Shion were sky-high, even when he was an infant. He was taught how to count to ten in a plethora of languages by five, and by six he was seated behind the grand piano reciting Mary had a little lamb. When not training him to play every instrument in existence, they had a tutor visit the house. She was an older lady with an ill temper, and when he made a mistake she would lock him into the family’s basement until his parents returned. They didn’t mind as long as he was learning.

Shion was homeschooled, because his parents believed that their lessons were more of value than any institute had to offer. He was viewed by more instructors, all of which were ruthless and harsh. Very quickly he learned that they did not like him, and he did not like them. His siblings weren’t different, they saw him as another child desperate for attention, instead of trying to comfort him they would sabotage him. Shion was socially stunted, solely relying on his parents for interactions that did not include his family. The majority of these interactions were with his terrible teachers. He began to quietly despise those adults, and fantasized about running away. Those daydreams didn’t go anywhere. He was exceeding his tutors in due time, creating his own pieces. Shion learned how to play a multitude of instruments, and could perform difficult pieces with his eyes closed. It earned him the title of ‘li’l ultimate musician’.
