Due to human development destroying their home, Cyrah's former pack was scattered. She joined the Pack of Falling Ash, which welcomed a new bloodline. She became mates with Nuru, and bore a litter in which only Kichea survived. She adopted Zahra and Zain when they were abandoned by their mother, a wanderer.
After the death of Nuru and mauling of her daughter, Cyrah became withdrawn and hostile. She eventually found love again in Mbali, and bore a new litter with him.
Personality
Cyrah is ambitious in that she wants one of her children to marry into the royal family, so she herself can gain more prestige. She is cold towards the foster children she was forced to nurse, however, seeing them as unworthy "replacements" of the two pups that perished in her first litter, and dislikes them further for their wanderer heritage. Her hostile attitude also rubs off on her eldest daughter, who was disfigured and was now "imperfect"--a reflection of how shattered the view of her life had become.
Cyrah was overprotective of her only surviving daughter, and warned her not to get too attached to her foster siblings, as they were wanderers and could never truly integrate into Ash society. She encouraged Kichea to trail after Amare and bear the royal's pups.
However, after the fateful day when Kichea was mauled by the rogue lioness and Nuru was killed, Cyrah was shattered. She could never face her scarred and "once-beautiful" daughter again, without being reminded of the terrible tragedy. Kichea would come to disown her mother entirely.
Nuru and Cyrah were very close, and she adored his funny and sweet personality. She was devastated by his loss, and was unable to look at her first litter, especially Kichea, without being reminded of how he was killed saving them.
Zahra was very vocal about her dislike for her neglectful foster mother, and would often get on Cyrah's nerves. Cyrah would snap at the pups frequently, and threw them out the moment they were big enough to leave the nursery.
Cyrah would often make her foster children babysit her second litter as "repayment" for her nursing them, which Zahra resented.
Cyrah disliked Zain just as much as Zahra, but he always seemed the one to take her physical abuse, stepping in to shield his sister. Cyrah hated how quiet and meek he was, but at least it meant he wouldn't talk back to her.
Zain didn't always mind babysitting duty, though he did find it very boring.
Cyrah attempts to remedy her tragic past by starting a new family with a mate named Mbali, leaving her adult children to their own separate lives. Mbali is a handsome male, but not very remarkable.
