((Coming from a land of arcane arts and the supernatural, Alais is a young Illusionist mage who, in her young years post graduating her magic studies, travels and performs with the Cirque de magie. Filled with mystery and unusual acts, Alais relishes in the temporary approval she finds taking the stage.))
"While referred to often by her mentors as a prodigy, Alais has no goal, no ambition to further with her significant and rapidly mounting power. Loud, eccentric, and egotistical, the young illusionist often finds herself at odds with those who prefer magic to be a more academic and serious affair. Though she exudes an air of confidence, Alais harbors many insecurities which often leaves her riddled with anxiety and self-doubt. Such issues drove her to craft her rather abrasive persona as a defense mechanism. Rather than work to rectify her low self-esteem, she believes that she can divert the attention of onlookers away from her flaws by masking her sensitive nature with her flamboyant façade. Due to her lack of confidence, Alais has a difficult time trusting individuals unless they have shown to be extraordinarily reliable and resolute during periods of uncertain turbulence. However, once one earns her loyalty, she goes to considerable lengths to protect them from any danger they may face."
