Julian is a ringmaster who ran a traveling circus in the 1850s after immigrating to the USA. He was born into a family with a generational curse; A feline entity that attaches itself to the eldest heir until death and demands to be fed. It’s preferred meal? Human emotion, and lots of it. Joy or fear, disgust or rage- Anything will do! Just be sure to satisfy all of its needs before patience runs thin, and it decides to possess the host in search of its own feast. Humans are fragile creatures, they break easily, both mind and body… and pain is the quickest way to achieve such delicious emotions.

Julian is a prankster and often gets fondly annoyed eye rolls from his troupe for never “acting his age”. He loves a good laugh and will never miss an opportunity to toss in a joke or pun. He’s a ringmaster, after all! Being funny is part of the job description! Making others smile is truly his passion, reaching far beyond just humor. Julian can never ignore someone in need and goes above and beyond to offer his support. Gentle expressions of intimacy is Julian’s love language. It isn’t often that anyone catches his eye, but when they do, there’s a lot to find in the quieter sides of him.

Running things isn’t easy, so when the stage calls, Julian ensures that everyone sticks to tight schedules and follows the rules accordingly. He has zero tolerance for any slack or excuses. He can’t let it fail …Yet despite being so demanding at showtime, he never quite outgrew the soft-hearted boy he was in his youth. Although it rarely shows, Julian is a bleeding heart who feels deeply and is often sentimental and nostalgic over the past.

Julian’s childhood and early adulthood spent in a dangerous household were deeply traumatic and shaped him into a broken man beneath the authoritative and funny personas. He has a habit of cracking and lashing out under extreme pressure and often has suspicions that others are conspiring against him. He’s fired cast members in the past seemingly at random based on nothing but recurring delusions. Anyone who’s ever worked under him will have their own set of questions about his origins or occasional erratic behavior that they don’t dare to say aloud.
