President Gravel

Gavel Monroe is a political maverick who defied traditional party lines and rose to become the Premier of the Kingdom of Furmonia.

Gavel's journey to the presidency was certain unconventional. Born into a lower middle-class family in a smaller town, Gavel's early life was marked by a strong desire for recognition and power. Though how he viewed achieving this was through the visual medium. After years of struggling to make it big as an actor, Gavel finally got his big break when he was cast as a wise-cracking judge on a hit late-night legal parody comedy show. He was at peace, finally with money and (his words) "Pretty Fine Bitches", but most importantly, influence among the masses.

His character on this show was so popular a grassroots campaign began to grow, calling for Gavel to for assume the "then" Presidency. Noticing the amount of power he would have, Gavel ran for office as an independent candidate, campaigning on a platform of reform and anti-corruption. Despite his own more conservative beliefs, his bold stance against special interests and corporate influence resonated with disillusioned voters across the political spectrum.

Upon assuming the presidency, Gavel shook up the establishment by then declaring himself the "Premiership" of the Kingdom of Furmonia. He then enacted several sweeping reforms aimed at rooting out corruption in government and revitalizing democratic institutions. And while, a lot of his efforts on greater political transparency, lobbyists influcene, and his "Make them Pretty Fine Bitches Pretty Again" have been...less than celebrated (and has earned his well-deserved criticts).  Gavel is still extrememly popular and will do anything to do so. And I do mean...ANYTHING...
