He used to be Arlo's #1 bully when Arlo was considered an orphan but after Arlo was reunited with his mother, Anvaksta, Arlo was trained by her and was able to save Killian from a Snurgleflop when he was young; he then devoted his loyalty to him. During the time Anvaksta was absent; a war between humans and the Valens broke out. The humans were stronger than they had anticipated and over powered them, killing most of the pack that didnt manage to escape. In the last few moments of the battle; Killian laid down his life in order to protect Arlo from an oncoming aerial attack. He was stuffed and his wolf was put on display in a museum.
When Anvaksta traveled to Greece and toured the museum she used her elven powers to bring Killian back to life once again. He stood by her side as a noble guard as she tried to bring wolves and other mythical creatures back to the present again.
