Karim

Karim was cursed by a trickster jinn with a golden magical power after successfully going through their challenges in a mirage. He lost his entire family due to his power, and now he uses those powers to close those mirages and save others. But fellow explorers despise him, thinking he just wants all the wishes to himself and mirages are too popular amongst them, that travelers from other continents are visiting the city to earn some gold.

Partner: Tamiel, an explorer from the north who also received a curse paired with Karim's attempt at saving him got turned into a beastman.

Facts:

• His power is similar to Midas' touch, he can turn things gold, but might also shoot golden sand and do other things. In return, it drains him, makes him very tired, and he has to fight to not be turned into a golden statue himself. He prefers to fight with his body and his dagger.
• He lost his whole family due to his magic. His closest people are a few poor families in his neighbourhood whom he helps a lot.
• He started exploring as a young teen, at 15 he was already able to finish a lot of higher level mirages and at this age got his cursed power.
• His golden hair strands are the result of his power.
