OVERVIEW

Night Light is a young Strong Wing from Cloudclan. He is a very excitable tom who is easily distracted by the things he likes, such as food, and his friends. During the day, he’s relatively lazy, and can often be seen hanging around the feeding top, or snoozing in his nest. He is most active at night; often times, he’ll go hunting, or on island patrol. He’s certainly not afraid to get his claws dirty, especially in battle. The thought of battle excites him, however, he would never want to kill anyone, or intentionally cause a fight. He’s quite immature for his age in most situations, but when it’s called for, he’ll use all his willpower to be serious. His immaturity can sometimes get him into trouble, as he often doesn’t see the downside of what he does. Despite that, he tries his best as a Strong Wing to provide for his clanmates, even if it causes him a bit of an issue.

STORY

Over 300 moons ago, the only way of transportation for a cat was walking. They lived in forests, unable to fly; up until the humans began to destroy the earth. The nearby water began polluting, poisoning all surrounding flora and fauna. Most living creatures would die within a few days- however, not the birds, nor the cats. Being their only prey, cats had to begin eating birds. Most birds were not sick, unaffected by the water. That is, except some. Cats were unable to tell the difference between sick birds and healthy birds, so they began eating both. It was only until kits started to be born with mutations; they called them “Birdcats.” These cats were looked down upon, shunned from the clans. However, they were the only ones immune to the sickly birds. Shortly after these birdcats were shunned, regular cats began to die. So, birdcats did what they had to, and took flight, making homes amongst the highest trees. Within a few moons, birdcats began to forget about their roots of the forest. They quickly became scared of what was below, calling it the “Deep Down.” They formed their own civilisation, their own religion, their own ways of living. Now, tales of cats without wings were mere legends told by the Wise Ones.
