He's treated like a robot, being thorn apart and put back together, forced to go back to duty over and over again.

Jericho spends most of his time in an apathetic state, a result of the repairs to his neural drive, performed to destroy and stabilize his emotions. When not under the effect of the procedures and medication, Jericho remains a formal person, the truth is that he doesn't know how to express any emotions, having no idea how to deal with his feelings after having forcibly suppressed them for so long. So he always maintains a controlled, polite, and restrained demeanor, but he has a gentle nature, always putting other's safety above his own. He considers himself disposable, and has no sense of self-preservation. In moments of lucidity, he clearly expresses his hatred for his superiors, which usually results in him being immediately sedated and sent off to perform the necessary repairs.

Biography
Childhood
Jericho grew up with other angels in a cathedral. Forbidden to leave, they were trained and taught how to act appropriately to fulfill their role. Children would occasionally disappear when they proved unable to fulfill their duties, but the matter was never mentioned by any of their caretakers. Jericho had no contact with his biological parents, and the nuns and priests didn't act like parental figures, being more like teachers.
Teenage years
As soon as he reached the appropriate age, Jericho was introduced to the squad he would join; a small group of four angels of the same rank. Each had a specific role, and from a young age, Jericho was trained to be a kind of tank; his role was simply to ensure that no one but himself was injured, even at the cost of his own physical well-being. Only one member of his original squad remained. The others were slaughtered or hunted by their own comrades when they displayed flaws or strayed from the virtues taught to them. He became a popular figure when he helped rescue civilians in a small town. The truth is, he was there for another reason, hunting a sinner as usual, but the information he was given did not reveal the real threats in the region, and he endured a long battle until he neutralized the beasts invading the town. Jericho does not remember what happened, given the severity of his injuries, how long ago it happened, and his poor memory, a result of the multiple procedures performed on him due to his defective personality.
Present
Currently, Jericho has left Laterano, accompanying a young kitsune, Eunchae. She and an android named Dry learned a lot about the treatment of angels and stumbled upon an ancient gnosis during their investigation, from which the kitsune absorbed the artifact. Due to his "defective" nature, Jericho decided to side with the group of civilians (Eunchae, Dry, and Harley) rather than once again witness the unfolding of the city's insane laws. Their escape was accomplished with the help of his teammate, Sky, one of the youngest members of his squad, as well as the assistance of a young avian who recognized Jericho as the "hero" of her city. Now he dedicates himself to protecting them, just as he always did in Laterano.
