PAST :
Charcoal spent the majority of his first 400 years as what some would call, a construction worker. He traveled between traveling islands to help fellow temporidae build their homes. He ended up making a small humble building for lost and found items, or as a singular apartment for confused lost temporidae in the vast home world. Known to be utterly calm and collected, he was easy to talk with and possibly become friends. Once he got his first hourglass, he focused solely on obtaining his familiar before he continued getting hourglasses.
Charcoal has been alive for a long time, and only began to collect hourglasses once he obtained his familiar. The bond between him and his familiar was intense, and he was extremely protective of them. Though sometime in his early years of collecting hourglasses in 1920, he arrived to a retro bar he refers to as a speakeasy. The temporidae arrived to a bar fight, tasked to collect one singular hourglass. Before he could think, his familiar was immediately shot without remorse from a human in a rage. Charcoal was in too much of a shock to reverse time or think of any solution, immediately having a panic attack. Retrieving his familiar's body and hiding behind the bar top, he waited for the ruckus to end before retrieving the assigned hourglass grimly then solemnly returning to his home world.
PRESENT :
Charcoal immediately retired once his familiar passed away, becoming one of the most grumpiest snappy temporidae there may be. The only reason for this was his odd method of coping. Now, he teaches young temporidae in an attempt to stop any accidents such as his own from happening. He almost has a harsh-loving attitude to the temporidae, yet immediately apologizes if he hurts anyone's feelings. Yet he can't seem to open up to any of his friends about how he feels, despite admitting he snaps and does not mean what he may say. From working around the 1800's and 1900's, he has a southern accent and occassionally wears a cowboy hat. Charcoal cannot see very well and has arthritis, but refuses to both wear glasses or take medicine for these occurences.
