D rawn to the trade industry from a young age, cahir leads a very comfortable life in wyverund. before settling down there to raise him, his mother was a bodyguard for the lysandor noble family. today, cahir leads business meetings with those same nobles from an equal standing and level of power.
he is not of noble blood, per se, but has made such a name for himself through his work that he may as well be. he is an accomplished antiquarian and albion commerce council member, known for collecting all manners of things and his knack for smooth-talking and negotiating.
founder of the merchant guild known as “the miscellany,” he is also a leader figure to all those who amass collections of various things. he organizes guild fairs, where merchants can buy and exchange goods, manages relations with other albion guilds, and resolves disputes between tradesmen.
cahir loves to roam the halls of his estate and admire all the pieces he’s collected over the years, from antiques to modern art. he is an enjoyer of history, and has amassed a sizeable collection of ancient relics from faerendell’s past, including a selection of historical texts discussing the various eras of faerendell history.
- his sense of style is immaculate, and with the extent of his collections, he has a near endless supply of things to accessorize with, from luxurious overcoats to opulent jewelry.
- he also harbors a great dislike for social functions, especially noble balls. he’s been invited to many in his lifetime, and has had to make an appearance at each of them, but he never lingers long.
as house albion doesn’t have a particular noble bloodline—not that he would be part of it anyway—cahir’s magic does not follow any standard. he has transmutation abilities, able to turn nonliving things into other objects. his magic only works on the inanimate, his type of influence being objects only, rather than on himself or other fables. his magic is actually on the weaker side of things, though he has trained with it enough to be able to reach the strength of his peers. before coming into his status, he used to use his magic much more. nowadays, he tends to only use it when necessary, and has been slacking in terms of practice with it.
( caoimhe )
the niece he once held dear. following her foray into theivery, cahir made what he deemed an unfortunate but necessary decision to cut her off, in part to protect his own reputation. even still, he mourns what could've been with every passing day.
( sascha )
cahir never thought he would need assistance with running the miscellany, but when sascha appointed herself his unofficial right hand, he felt freer than he had in ages. though he would never admit it, her steady presence has been a huge relief.
( lórien )
he's been acquainted with this up and coming young noble heir quite a few times, as he's the son of one of albion's closest allies. he's found himself rather impressed by his business-like demeanor, the perfect mix of accommodating and ambitious.
( leona )
cahir holds nothing but respect for the new head of house virellian. she is a strong political figure and has made quite the name for her house in recent years. she has also been a long-standing customer of his, buying oddities of all sorts from him.
