Profile
Long ago, a malevolent, winged serpent roamed the world. Feared by all, it spread terror and destruction wherever it went, and for a time, nothing could stand in its way. That is, until a group of devoted priests succeeded in sealing the creature away, using ancient and powerful rites. All that remained of the beast was a set of exquisite golden jewelry—forever cursed and imbued with its dark power.
Centuries passed. The untamed jungle gradually gave way to thriving tribal cities, each inhabited by diverse and intelligent species. In one such city, nestled within the lush Fairy Lands, lived a carefree and beloved individual named Elendir. A winged fairy of cheerful spirit and boundless energy, Elendir was known throughout the city for his kindness, talent with musical instruments, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. His days were filled with joy and harmony.
But as the old adage goes, where there is light, darkness is never far behind.
With the tribes worshiping different deities and tensions simmering between their diverse cultures, conflict was inevitable. War broke out. One of the neighboring cities launched an attack on the Fairy Lands—a devastating event that would change Elendir’s life forever.
As the assault raged, great stone buildings crumbled and the very earth trembled. Amid the chaos, Elendir was struck from behind by falling debris, sending him plummeting into a chasm that opened beneath him.
After some time, he regained consciousness. Though sore and disoriented, he found himself largely unscathed. Looking around, he realized he had landed in the ruins of an ancient temple—one he had never seen before, dedicated to a forgotten god. Intrigued and ever curious, Elendir began to explore. Perhaps, he thought, this place could serve as a refuge for his people.
Deep within the temple, he came upon an ornate altar bearing a chest. Inside, gleaming in the dim light, were a pair of golden bracelets and a matching necklace. The craftsmanship was breathtaking—surely priceless. Thinking they might help him bargain with the invaders, Elendir placed them upon himself without hesitation.
It was a grave mistake.
Unbeknownst to him, the cursed artifacts awakened the dormant spirit of the winged serpent god. A dark force surged into Elendir's body, altering his appearance in subtle but sinister ways. Yet he noticed nothing but a fleeting sense of unease. Driven by urgency, he spread his wings and soared out of the ruins—his only thought to protect his people.
What he found was heartbreaking: his closest friends were surrounded by enemy warriors. Elendir prepared to intervene, but his narcolepsy, a condition he had battled for years, suddenly overcame him. He fell into a deep sleep mid-air. Yet, his body did not fall. Instead, glowing tattoos emerged across his skin, and his wings shimmered with ethereal light.
Possessed by the serpent's spirit, Elendir’s unconscious form moved with terrifying precision and grace. With unnatural agility and strength, he decimated the invaders using mysterious green energy beams and serpentine strikes.
When he awoke moments later, everything seemed normal. The threat was gone, and his body bore no trace of the violent battle he had unknowingly fought. Confused but unharmed, he was embraced by grateful citizens, hailed as a hero.
Unaware of the truth, Elendir continues to believe that he simply blacks out during his narcoleptic episodes. In reality, each time he succumbs to sleep, the ancient serpent god reawakens—using Elendir's body for its own cryptic and chaotic purposes.
To this day, the cheerful fairy lives in blissful ignorance, never suspecting that a slumbering god lies just beneath the surface of his smile.
