The fire-pelted tom was not always referred to as Ablaze. Ages ago, he was not accustom to the harsh life of a rogue. This is the story of what he was before the forest changed him. Moons ago, two cats from opposing clans fell in love. 

Paleberry, a warrior from Thunderclan, and Fogsprint, the deputy of Shadowclan. They knew well that their relationship was forbidden, but they continued to see eachother in secrecy. Eventually, Paleberry became pregnant with her very first litter. Months went on, and she came up with the excuse that a rogue had impregnated her. Still, she knew that her clan would uncover her secret eventually. Nobody was allowed in the nursery as she gave birth to three kittens. One of which, whom resembled their father. Paleberry let her paranoia get the best of us, and one dark night she left her clan with the kit, unnamed. She left it on the border of Windclan's camp, and never looked back. Windclan named the young one Flamekit, and took him in. He grew up under the wing of the clan's most despised warrior, fur dark as the wing of a bat. That warrior hated the clans, and Flamekit took after that tom. 

As he grew older, vitiligo spots took to his fur. The clan saw this as an omen from Starclan, and frightfully banished the apprentice from the clans. Flamepaw roamed the forest for several nights, until stumbling upon a rogue group by the name of Shard. He joined the group with minimal trouble, them seeing his odd spots as simply a part of him. As he was inspected by the cats, one mentioned that his down looked as if it were set ablaze.
