A darkner, this is the birdcage in Kris's room. Rustie really dislikes being used to contain a soul, and has sworn off jailing anything else. Holding a soul for so long has given him the power to shift forms, so he typically stays in his anthro form. Powerful in combat, if he saw Kris in the Dark World he'd probably lash out until calmed down.
If recruited to Castle Town, Rustie would like meeting the other Sams, but he'd probably feel isolated because of his different form and his distaste for jailing. I could see him sticking to the dojo and hanging around Werewerewire.
