Avalysa holds her head high and dignified and her eyes spark with a fire that is uncontainable. Avalysa is a very fierce mare. She's bold and she's daring. She is not afraid to speak of the thoughts that dance across her mind and is not afraid to offend someone by telling them the truth. To her, lies do nothing but hurt and therefore the truth must always be told. She is not a mare that one would want to get into a verbal argument with, as she has a quick wit and a sharp tongue, and is usually able to charm her way out of any argument. She's very opinionated and is not afraid to tell others of them, regardless of whether or not they care about the situation. She often talks to herself, murmuring observations to any listener around her. To some, she seems to be a very odd creature, observing patterns in the sky and communing with nature. She prefers a solitary lifestyle, but when in a crowd, she demands their full attention. If she doesn't care about a certain topic of conversation, she will simply walk away without a backward glance. She does not care about anything to do with beauty or power, as she believes that such a strength comes with the power of the mind. Avalysa has an incredible fortitude and no sight nor sound will be one to ruin her mind. Despite being a Dark, Avalysa carries no interest toward having slaves or swearing. She feels that horses can do whatever they want to do so long as they allow her the same right. However, after seeing what her parents went through, Avalysa shies away from love and is therefore not very in touch with her emotions. She's generally rather calm and level headed, but she has a spiteful temper and a bitter streak a mile wide.

Avalysa was the third child born to Angel's Karma and Predator. Her parents had not been getting along even before she was born and after she was born, things got a lot worse. Avalysa was a mere two months old when her mother approached her, telling her that she was coming with her and to say goodbye to her father. Avalysa was heartbroken by this event. She said goodbye and left with her mother. The two of them traveled around the Free Lands, but Avalysa went back home to Paratas often to visit her father and her two half siblings, Stealth and Nerissa. Even though the three of them got along fairly well, Avalysa was consistently jealous of how their mother had stolen Avalysa's father away. She grew increasingly bitter toward the two of them and eventually to her father and Narcissa, the two foals's mother. When she got older, she asked her mother what had happened and her mother told her the story of how she and Predator had not been getting along and how they were not compatible anymore. She told Avalysa of how Predator had cheated on her when she was pregnant with Avalysa and that's how the two foals had come to be. Avalysa was heartbroken and conflicted, unsure of how to feel toward the two half siblings she'd become so close to. Her mother traveled out of Wild Equines then and Avalysa eventually decided to come with her. The two of them explored new lands and eventually settled into a new herd. Avalysa spent a year and a half there before deciding to return. In a way, she wanted revenge. For her mother. She wanted to punish Predator for breaking her mother's heart and she wanted to lead Paratas because she had been the rightful Heir for a time. But, she swallowed her ambition and decided she would prove her father wrong instead. If he thought her trash because her mother wasn't good enough for him, then she would prove him wrong. She would prove them all wrong.
