Backstory

Cassandra Acquati was born in Genoa, Italy to her parents Eleanor and Angelo Acquati. As a child, her favorite hobby was drawing, much like her father. She would spend countless hours drawing various pictures of different animals. One day, when she and Angelo went out for a walk, they met a couple named Joaquin and Amelia who were originally from Spain and chose Italy as their tourist spot for their honeymoon. She was very shy and did not like talking at first, but she eventually warmed up to them, especially after Angelo allowed a completely strange couple to enter their home while Eleanor was expecting their second child. Joaquin and Amelia stated that they were also planning to start a family in the future, so they observed Cassandra's behavior and how she responded to her parents. They both got along very well with Cassandra to the point where she enjoyed their company. She thought of them as another set of parents, and they even helped her overcome her shyness.

Cassandra was three years old when her younger sister Chloe was born. She loved having a sibling and playing with her. As they grew up together, they always knew they could rely on each other when things go wrong and they always shared everything they had, even including their clothes! Her relationship with Joaquin and Amelia strengthened as well when their son Zantiago was born. He joined her and Chloe on their play dates and all three of them felt like a close family. Cassandra's friendship with Zanti was unmatched, even though she noticed that he liked playing with Chloe more and her time was cut short once she started school. Cassandra knew that Chloe was always going to have a friend to play with. Once she and Chloe finished high school, they both had different career paths.

While Cassandra never gave up her drawing hobby, she didn't want to pursue it in the long run. Over time, she became fond of baking. Her parents gave her an EZ-Bake Oven when she was in third grade, and used it until she graduated to using the oven. Her favorite desserts she liked to bake were different kinds of cookies. After graduating from high school, Cassandra decided to pursue her baking interest by attending a culinary school in Paris, France that was dedicated to baking. Cassandra always wanted to go to France and even studied the language in school because she liked how it sounded. Once she arrived, it was a dream come true. She enjoyed the classes, her professors, and even made a few college friends; one in particular being Ricardo Marino, a native French motorcyclist who had a huge interest in baking as much as her. Cassandra developed a soft spot for Ricardo once he introduced her to his biker gang and she saw the motorcycle he owned. She and Ricardo eventually fell in love. However, both of them were slowly starting to feel let down as the college program they applied for wasn't exactly what they wanted. As a result, they both dropped out and started their own home-baking business to make up for the funds they lost. Needless to say, it was a success. In the present day, Cassandra and Ricardo are happily living together with their golden retriever Blake as they continue running their bakery.
