Backstory

Sebastian was born into a family of ringneck doves. When he and his family were flying south for the winter, dense fog surrounded the sky which permanently separated him from them. He ended up landing on the soil of Mexico City. Despite not knowing where he was, he liked the warm climate and adapted himself to the area. One day, he came across a man sitting on a park bench. Unlike most doves who would get close to people if they had food, Sebastian saw something intriguing about the gentleman that wouldn't normally cause a dove to react in such a way. He landed on the head of the bench, curiously approaching the man. The man turned his head and stared right into the dove's eyes and they locked in stares for a few minutes. He warmly reached his hand out to Sebastian as he placed him to sit on his shoulder. From that day forward, the man, known as Felix, knew something resonated with the dove and that it was going to be his life-long friend. He ended up calling the dove "Sebastian."

Sebastian became Felix's familiar who served under him. Felix created a spell to make him be able to talk. He assisted in helping Felix practice witchcraft and even potion making, as Felix desired to be a warlock who could create enchantments to heal the sick and injured. Sebastian was given powers of invisibility, being able to fly for long periods of time, and sensing the emotions of others who are close to Felix if they are sad or scared.

After Felix's death, Sebastian was devastated. After Felix's and Olivia's two sons, Bruno and Max, were born, Sebastian immediately recognized that Max was given Felix's powers while Bruno was not. He did everything Felix taught him by teaching Max how to use magic, and while it had to take Sebastian some time to adjust to Max's lifestyle, they eventually developed a close friendship, much like how Sebastian met Felix the first time. One of Sebastian's desires was to become a human since he found them interesting. To Max's surprise, he managed to not only make Sebastian a human. He gave him the ability to shapeshift between his dove form and his new human form.
