Second son of Prowl and Tarantulas and third in command of the Scrappers. He carries the spark of Adaptus.
His alt mode is an armored ten-legged insect-like tank with side mounted guns. He's the only beastformer on the team, and the only techno-organic. This means he needs to survive on a special semi-organic energon diet, which he cultivates in his laboratory. He's considered unfit for combat and will only be deployed when the ship is attacked.
He requires special breathing apparatus outside of his personal wing of the ship, which has a controlled environment. This wing encompasses his quarters, his laboratory, the armory for energy based weapons, and the entire medical wing. When planetside he has to wear one of a number of suits of his own design depending on the gravity and chemical makeup of the atmosphere. He has a suit that lets him survive in space briefly, but it's very weakly armored. Being cooped up in his rooms most of his career has arguably driven him madder than he already was.
Tenastus is a natural chemist and handles all of the Scrappers' and Ironfist's energon needs and rationing. He's developed countless new formulas for fuel, weapons, medical, and recreational usage. In addition to being the "team nerd", he's also their chief medic and, though he hates the term, their drug dealer. His formulas are a well-kept secret, and despite Whirlwind's objections, he has a small monopoly selling drops of his cures and highs for obscene personal profit.
He's very bitter about his body and his role as Adaptus, completely missing the point of his origin and demanding to know why he has to go to so much trouble to survive in the body he was born with. Still, despite the inconveniences and his teammates' disgust, he refuses to reformat as a testament to his fathers' empire. He has the strongest bond with Foresight, who's always forgets what Tenastus is and that he has to put on his gear before answering his summons, and thus whines about him always being late.
