traits: Ayoka, like all horses of the Nooitgedacht breed, has an incredibly soft nature and great intelligence. She is loving and understanding to all, just like her Ma. Her name, which translates into "One Who Causes Joy", suits her perfectly. Anywhere she goes, others always are bound to have a good time. Ayoka can turn something bad into something fantastic! She has a positive outlook on life and does not hate the Darks. To her, they are just another type of horse. Nothing bad, just they aren't good. Ayoka also has an incredible sense of humor! She tends to laugh at even the stupidest jokes, so she would be a good match for a timid stallion or for one who is not sure of himself. Ayoka has a way of taming her anger and almost never lashes out at someone, even if she is forced to do something. She is also not afraid to share her feelings.

history: Ayoka was born in West Africa, in Togo. She was born to the stallion Abu (translated into "Nobility") and the mare Abiba (translated into "The Beloved One"). Both were top of the line Nooitgedachts. When Ayoka was born, her father was taken away to another mare. But Ayoka didn't mind! She had fun with her mother! They played together everyday and soon Ayoka became the mare she is today. She started her training when she was three years old and carried all sorts of people on her back. But then she was sold to someone over seas. Ayoka got a few minutes to say good-bye to her mother before she was loaded into a plane with ten others horses. But, something went wrong with the plane and it crashed into the water. Ayoka had to swim for shore, not knowing where she was. All she knew was she was far away from Africa. Even the water felt different! But even this didn't phase her. Ayoka told herself it had happened for a reason and then set off to look for a new place to live.

She doesn't quite remember what happened when she got to shore, and it's all just a blur to her. She does not remember having her daughter, Clover, or the storm that separated them when the filly was only seven months old. It was during this storm that she was hit in the head by a falling branch, gaining amnesia. She only remembers stumbling upon Tremela Woods. She stayed there for a while and then carried on in her travels.
