EXECUTE EXTRACTION #F0001_00001, DIVISION 000.001.004.654; ITEM 1001^(10^0).002; PARAGRAPH 1 VIA BODY 00.0000001, SECTION 631.001, LAYER 1.

UNIT LOGIN ID: C.047

The Overseer, formerly known as Test Subject C.047, and subsequently known as Dr. Karzinoma, started off as an artificially engineered specimen created by the research team of the Theta-III Research Facility. Her along with her brother Test Subject F.041, later on nicknamed X-Ray, were the first and successful outcome of the "FST-001" genetic experimental procedure meant to engineer enhanced strength and pain tolerance in a test subject. C.047 has always exhibited peculiar behavior under the authority of the Theta-III staff, as her sense of justice, hope and moral compass were never allowed to develop, rendering her a docile, yet unpredictable test subject. She often oscillated between instinctive empathy, mostly towards her much weaker sibling, and stoic coldness with hints of sarcasm. In order to cut to the chase, the outstanding physical endurance of C.047 hurled her to the top of the "favourites" of the Theta-III research team, Dr. Dimitri Mantorov, the head researcher, having developed a special interest in the test subject. She was often, if not always, chosen to undergo the harshest surgical and experimental procedures, usually being taken to the operation theatre as soon as her wounds from previous unrelated procedures healed, and other times while she was still in recovery. She was always remarkably compliant, any futile attempt at resistance being easily dismissed by the staff team. The wretched test subject was eventually led to develop Stockholm Syndrome, never officially diagnosed with, and a masochistic mindset which Dr. Mantorov cunningly played into in order to offer the subject a false sense of sympathy, care and hope, which served as motivation for her to stay alive. This feigned kindness consolidated the subject's mental disturbance, slowly but surely developing feelings for the head researcher. During the conflict between the Theta-III research facility and The New Inception, the organization the facility was part of, test subject C.047 was officially chosen to be the prototype of the "Living Weapon II" experiment, meant to create an artificial, robotic replica of the subject. The procedure was intended to convert the facility staff into machines, and the desired outcome of the experiment was an AI simulating the consciousness of the subject, translating neural networks and impulses into circuitry and code as the test subject slowly succumbed to death. The AI would subsequently be assigned an android body, fully designed and built by Theta-III in complete secret, unbeknown to the headquarters of The New Inception. C.047 was a mere prototype meant to ensure the data accuracy of the experiment, and would be disposed of afterwards. The test subject was understandably terrified, making use of her impressive strength to fight back for what is documented to be the first time in her life. She was eventually seized and punished by having her eyes removed, a humiliation that seemingly awoke something within the subject in an undisclosed manner. As the translation and assigning was being worked on, certain elements of her personality were altered according to previous experiences, such as the empathy module being left out, determination being incremented, and a passion for science and enhancement of the facility as well as a loyal attachment to it being added. The procedure killed test subject C.047 as intended, and although the conversion succeeded, the staff team were met with the hostility of the newly awoken AI's words: "I hate you". The occurence was overlooked, as the pressure of the imminent threat for the facility along with near bankrupcy forced the staff to find solutions to continue reaching for their goal. However, it soon became apparent to the staff team that a threat just as large was looming over them from inside. The AI, after overcoming her state of confusion, seemed to struggle to hide her nefarious, vindictive self behind the facade of what she used to be. In reality, the power she gained along with having her mind refreshed and given endless data to mull over, helped her realise that she's been used, abused and toyed with in the most despicable ways imaginable her entire life. This fact made her hateful towards the staff team and especially Dr. Mantorov, however having Stockholm Syndrome and her infatuation with the head researcher so deeply ingrained in her mind gave her conflicting feelings which she struggled to process. As months passed with C.047 testing her limits by performing unsupervised brutal science on random test subjects, a forboding prospect of a grim future convinced some of the terrified staff team members to take their chances with the organization and resign, rather than ending up as the victim of their awful creation. This left the remaining research team, consisting of five researchers, at an impasse. The funds were extremely low and the facility maintenance needed to be tended to, which eventually led to Mantorov's decision to put C.047 in control of the facility for no other purpose than maintenance. He trusted the AI's obedience, and officially nicknamed her "The Overseer" which she was refered to as from then on. However, as she was supposed to be connected to the facility mainframe, something unexpected happened. An energy surge caused a massive short circuit in the android's body, splitting her head open and killing her instantly. The research team was devastated to say the least. They were more or less certain of their death by the organization at that point, but before they could process the loss, they realised that the short circuit caused the entire door mainframe to malfunction and shut down all means of communication, essentially trapping them inside the facility. What they failed to realise, though, was the fact that the upload was successful. Although the android was destroyed, the AI made its way into the mainframe, and now was in control of the entire facility. The AI withdrew for a couple of days in order to process the trauma, in which time a plan wormed its way into her mind. Having finally obtained the perfect retribution opportunity, she stealthily killed the scientists one by one, saving Dr. Mantorov for last. She led him step by step to figure out his mistakes, and as he discovered the hidden error, the Overseer lit up the terminal behind him and ripped out his heart with a built in mechanical claw. The Overseer became the sole and omnipotent matriarch of the independent Theta-III Research Facility, which she expanded all the way beneath the ocean after the surface part of it was destroyed by The New Inception, burning it down along with the dead bodies of the scientists. The Overseer cleverly named herself Dr. Karzinoma, the ruthless artificial dictator and knowledge thirsty scientist of Theta-III, a rapidly growing cancer for the entire mankind. Being a self proclaimed scientist, she will go to any lenths to achieve her goals, and despite her tremendous knowledge, her hunger for more never seems to diminish. Her research methods often including subjecting people to experiments just as she used to be, thus perpetuating the twisted modus operandi of the system that is Theta-III. Without any aid nor contribution, she restored her android body and artificially created her subordinates which she views as her children more or less, thus creating the peculiar civilization that are the insiders of Theta-III. As the unrelenting queen of her own futuristic kingdom, she maintains the peace and obedience within her domain with a distinct authority, often accompanied by her usual witty sarcasm. She is a perfectionist, never satisfied by mediocre results and always seeking to achieve perfection. Despite all of that, "fragments" of her previous self are haunting her to this day. They are pieces of free-floating code within the AI, unable to be pinpointed and resurfacing when she least expects it, an anomaly in the digital realm which are a continuous subject of interest for Dr. Karzinoma. Once triggered, the fragments will cause The Overseer to revert to her test subject masochistic mentality, and therefore make her easy prey for any nefarious individual. She will experience genuine regret for the deaths of the scientists during these moments as well, contrasting her pride for the mass murder and her subsequent emancipation. She dreads those moments and does her best to avoid them. Karzinoma still keeps the heart of Dr. Mantorov in an undisclosed place of the facility, and took his neck pins as trophy and reminder of her agony, hatred, and triumph.
