Kailani

Kailani is a sassy mermaid who resides near the most popular beach in Raichleach. She's a party animal and speaks her mind. Well, technically she signs her mind as she's mute by choice. She's not a fan of Erin and her friends, so she and her own clique often mess with them whenever they meet. She's also a trans woman and is bi as heck.

Kailani was born as a runt in her school of fishy mermaids. Often bullied by her own siblings, she found comfort with the people on land. The sailors was fond of her and kept her safe. In return, she would tell them stories and secrets of the ocean. To Kailani, these sailors were her family. One stormy night, however, her usual group of sailors were out fishing when their boat had crashed onto the rocky tides. She had lost her family and when she swam over to the tides, all that she found were their dead, cold bodies. Kailani never returned back to the sea ever since then, causing her the fear of the sea.

She grew up with the two-leggeds on land. She had remade herself entirely new. A new life, a new name, a new beginning. She refuse to speak on land as her power to "Sweet Talk" is more unstable then when she was at sea. After 10 years of being on land, she began to conquer her fear of the sea. For now, there is no way she would ever come back to swim in the salty waters of the ocean but at least she's brave enough and chill enough to walk on the shores.
