A former guardian angel who was banished from heaven when her charge was killed. Fortunately, that meant she missed the apocalypse that wiped out paradise.
Maroth lived in a farmhouse on the edge of existence for a century or two, tending to some chickens and one old goat. One day, a mysterious man showed up on her doorstep, claiming that heaven had fallen, and that he was seeking out any survivors in the outskirts. Fearing that her peaceful life would be threatened, she joined him on his travels.
