PERSONALITY
Reliable, and creative crafter. Also stubborn and takes no shit. Putting her at odds with some people.
Still has a bit of growing up to do, and is new to being independent.
As an older sibling, Joan could use work. 

HISTORY

[Most things are a WIP] Joan lived with her dad's side of the family for a few years . Her father was mostly away as a truck-driver, while her controlling stepmother was a stay-at-home wife (her own choice), alongside younger siblings. Even acting as an unwilling babysitter of sorts.
When learning the ropes of being an adult, her stepmother would point out a lot of her faults, and just say things that were detrimental to her self-esteem
Joan struggles with adulting, and hasn't been living on her own for very long (less than a year). But at least she's out of her toxic home life, even if she does still rely on her family here and there.

TRIVIA
-Joan's hobbies include sculpting and glass-blowing. When she's not doing that, Joan enjoys biking, yoga, and taking walks.
-is very flexible (she is an ermine, after all).
-wears tights or shorts under her skirts. Anything to cover her undergarments.
-apprehensive about telling people about her poly preferences; she doesn't like being stereotyped as a "slut".
-Joan hasn't even told her family that she's bi yet; her stepmother wouldn't approve. Or at least give the "I love you but not your lifestyle," and wouldn't let her talk about it in front of the siblings.
-She has yet to have an actual relationship with a girl. Joan realized she was into girls more recently.
-Favorite color is purple

RELATIONSHIPS

• Barry- Boyfriend - The two met through a dating app (possibly on one for polyamory in specific). Joan is new to the polyamory, and so far Barry has been her only success so far. He listens to her vent, he supports her crafts, and so on.
• Sterling - Friend/Boyfriend's boyfriend - Sterling and Joan get along well enough, and gush about Barry together.
• Unnamed Siblings (x2, 1 brother, 1 sister). - Joan loves her little siblings but cannot see eye to eye with them, on account of the wide age gap. The older of the siblings can be a real handful, while the other is just a wee little kid. Joan tends to be self-absorbed, and wouldn't give them the time of day unless she was told to play with them.  Basically, Joan likes her siblings in small doses.
