A brief introductory blurb.
    The Aphotians are a genderfluid race of typically dark skinned animal based demons who specialize in different types of fire magics. The culture is divided into two, prey and predators instead of the typical male to female dynamic. Prey take the role of nursing and caretaking, while predators hunt and dominate. It is rare to see an Aphotian stepping out of their mold, but not unheard of and not completely looked down upon.
    While all Aphotians have pointed ears and horns, their animal attributes are dependant upon which race they are. This is often seen as a tail, scales, or some other minor appearance trait. While uncommon, it is possible for them to have animalistic ears as well. Their horns vary from person to person, but most closely resemble that of a ram's.

Housing: Astral lives in a medium, victorianesque home near the forest in the western region of Nirvana.
Key Item: A cuff chain earring given to him by his elders. The emotions connected to it are strong and he takes good care of it. This item is unlikely to be lost because while this item is dear to him, it's made even harder to part with considering it's physically connected to his ear. 
Regret: He regrets having not waited longer to see how things would last, and he wishes that he had left his parents on a better note.

    While Astral is not exactly a scholar, he is fairly intelligent and very interested in learning. However, this can also count against him when he goes too far into things he's not meant to.
    He is especially interested in the sky, not just because it's connected to his powers, but also because its vastness and majesty simply captivate him at times. He is easily moved and inspired by things of beauty, but not always easily persuaded by them.
    Don't let his nerdy demeanor deceive you, however, because he is also a very standoffish person that is willing, maybe even hoping, to fight for his right to be on the top of the food chain. He likes fighting and loves the thrill of the hunt even more. However, he knows when to control and restrain this when it's more to his advantage.
    Due to his fox-like features, he is also mischievous and likes to get into trouble and other people's business, sometimes to his own expense. He is also very playful and likes to 'hunt' down potential partners for play and pleasure. However, this often pushes more timid people away from him. While he is not exceptional in conversation, he likes to talk a lot and hear himself even more.
History:
    Born as the only child to a high-standing family, Altair was seen as a sort of gift to his parents. However, this didn't exactly mean the same thing to his peers, and he was often ignored or made fun of. He didn't really care though because his head was so far in the clouds he couldn't have heard them if he tried.
    He went through several trials, but eventually was put through a ceremony for adultship. This was very important to him, as for many because it meant he was now recognized as his own person and as a skilled warrior. However, he was also a scholar, so he decided that that's what he wanted to do with his early adulthood. However, his parents had a different idea and he was set to meet his chosen fiancee. They were cute, and for a while he even thought they could hit it off, but he just wasn't into her.
    Choosing instead to scorn the relationship, he ended up sleeping around, getting into fights, and all those other rebellious teenager things. At the end of it, he even denounced himself as a part of the tribe and went off on his own. However, as a few years went by, he found that he felt bad about what he had done and even missed his family and fiancee, but he had already cut his ties.
    Returning several years after the fact, perhaps in hopes of forgiveness or at least a sense of closure. However, when he returned, he found that nothing was the same. His parents had passed and his fiancee refused to speak to him. Unable to explain himself and to apologize to his parents, he found himself secluded from his own people, not allowed to return. Alone and wandering from place to place, he deeply regretted everything.
    Now alone in the world for good, he wandered for a time before coming across a masked figure. The only one not to turn him away, he followed the other and came across Nirvana.

Astral's full name is comprised of stars and constellations! Altair is the brightest star in the constellation Aquila, Lyrae is the lyre, and Vulpeca is the fox constellation.
