Profile

personality: looking at faith, you wouldn't expect this peppy, strange, almost little-girlish kiamara to be the head of one of the country's biggest research centers, let alone the head of one that has come under questioning multiple times for immoral practices. raised in a small family in london with two museum curators as parents, faith was encouraged from a young age to be curious about just about everything, and curious, she is. whether she's working to splice a genome or interrogating a colleague about every detail of their life over coffee, faith likes to know just about everything and likes to feel in control. she's extremely confident with who she is and can at times be unaware of how completely weird she comes off as from time to time, whether it's walking into work with an alligator on a leash or blasting Britney Spears over the emergency intercom to boost team spirit, faith comes across as strange but cute.

however, like many self-proclaimed mad scientists faith can be a bit... lacking, in morality, and tends to abandon her empathy completely for the sake of her curiosity. to avoid legal trouble much of what she does is shrouded in mystery and her employees are sworn under strict contracts to keep things hush-hush, and those that break their contracts tend to... disappear, from time to time. after spending a little time with this kia it becomes obvious that there's something a tad unsettling under the quirky and cute facade, and while she may be fun to be around for short times she's definitely not to be trusted.

history: faith was born into a rather eccentric family in a small flat in london, with her parents working as the managers and curators of their self-run museum. rather than filling it with historical artifacts or old posters, however, faith's parents ran a museum based around conspiracy theories and the signs of the coming apocalypse. as a single child who was home-schooled until high school, faith's early areas of expertise were not times-tables and beginner's spanish, but cryptids of the British Isles and how to survive a nuclear fallout. however, when faith finally stepped foot in a high school she was (more or less) prepared for the workload, and ended up going from there to getting an accelerated college degree.

after getting out of college, faith began by working as interns at several science facilities around the UK- and unfortunately, getting systematically fired from most of them for disorganization and directly disobeying orders, and even the law. eventually, faith traveled by herself to the east coast of America to avoid various testing and GMO laws, and found that she was able to make a decent bit of money through selling various bioluminescent household pets. eventually, her facilities began to expand, and faith began to move onto bigger and more serious things- although, except for the occassional medicine or two, what she's actually doing and how the corporation is making money is a mystery. even most of the employees aren't really sure what's going on in the facility- however, faith pays well enough that most continue doing their jobs with no questions asked.

occupation: manager and lead researcher at her independent science corp.

relationships: faith is tokala's boss, but other than that she really doesn't know many other people enough to count them as 'friends'. however, she does have a love-hate relationship with her 'test subject' calin who has a power she can't seem to find a logical explanation for.

hobbies: aquarium-keeping, collecting cute pajamas, attending cheesy magic shows just to disprove all of their tricks

fun fact: faith has a small obsession with alligators and her office is coated with pictures of the long-snouted things. she even had one for a while herself that she would walk around the office until the janitor lost a foot to it. she has also kept her interest in the occult even as she has become an extremely logic-oriented person, and will vehemently defend most cryptids and conspiracies with scientific explanations.
