general concept: tldr hes based on games like the maze game, in the light world hes a game where you help a bunny mailman find the houses he needs to deliver the mail to, the levels get progressively harder to the point it's impossible to beat and you get jumpscared 

in the dark world (specifically cyber world) he disguises himself as whatever the equivalent to an email managing program (like a website or an app to check your emails) and wears a mask to make himself look friendly but underneath the mask his face is a random jumpscare like the jeff the killer picture or smiley dog. he likes to scare ppl like that 🤓

he calls himself bunmail but his actual name is hopscare
