That One MendelWith one parent being a sweet, adorable man, and the other a stern man born in a reality where men can carry children, it's no surprise that the history behind TOM's birth is a bit... chaotic. From the moment she first opened her eyes and gazed up at her parents, it was clear that there was more to her than your typical child. Or... any child, really.
Because of the 'odd' circumstances that brought her into being, TOM ended up becoming connected to all of existance - the entirety of the universe, along with each and every alternative reality. As a (younger) child, she often found herself curiously adjusting different parts of these worlds, without really understanding the backlash that it would cause. Eventually she began to learn what things had to happen, and which were more flexible, allowing her to adjust things in ways that helped while having minimal concequences.
Fate, however, didn't appreciate this.
However, after having to put up with the entirety of her trouble-making family for far too long, Fate was done. And so, after a long conversation and a promise to try and fix the damage Those Damn Mendels had caused, TOM took over the role of Fate.
It was made for her, after all.
