Anguis

Brief

Most people don't expect a serpentine spirit to have the privilege of bearing the power of light, and it's something the crafty Anguis relishes immensely. As the spirit partner to a temporally-displaced, yet equally crafty man, he happily assists his partner in navigating the new modern world and protecting his loved ones. While he takes his responsibilities as a guardian seriously, Anguis is more than happy to take advantage of his partner's good fortune and likes to encourage him to do the same, if only to assuage his beloved's worry.

Personality

Despite his sinister form, Anguis is remarkably chatty, curious, and mischievous. He likes to poke his head around anything he can fit it in, and is constantly out to learn something new. While undeniably loyal to his chosen partner, he's perfectly fine with running his ears off, steering him away from the straight-and-narrow path, and even poking fun at him and his treasured person. When faced with a threat, Anguis shows a cunning side that prefers subterfuge to open violence, delighting in using his venomous bite and ambush tactics to seize victory. That said, the safety of his partner remains paramount to the serpentine spirit, and he'll use every trick in the book to assist him.
