When Kait was still known as Kensley, she had a lot of baggage. She made a lot of terrible mistakes, and hurt a lot of people. She wanted a different kind of life, and to be a better person, and so she sought out magical means in which to accomplish this. When she made a wish on a fabled, magical well deep in the marshes she wished to become a different person. She wanted a fresh start, the chance to be better. In the process of receiving her wish she lost all of her memories and was transformed into another being entirely-- into a fae. Without a name, she made a new one-- Kait-- and embraced the life of being a mischevious fae being. She has a knack for trouble now, and loves teasing mortals most of all. She lives in the marshes, but she leaves them often. She has a bit of a fascination with mortals, and a near kinship feeling with them. She can seem to stay away from them for too terribly long.
