Bird

Ssaorun's beloved pet and best friend. 

Bird is an energetic bundle of fluff who likes to sleep on Ssaorun's lap infront of the fireplace and claw at the door when Ssaorun disspears into the bathroom for five seconds. Apart from that tho, Bird and Ssaorun are inseperable.  Ssaorun found Bird when he was five, and Bird was a mere hatchling. Bird had fallen out of their nest, broken their wing, and been abandoned by their mother. Ssaorun nursed them back to health and they've been friends ever since c: !

Trivia

• Their eyes get all squinty when happy/warm. 
• They really love it when people pet/scratch their neck. (But bellyrubs are reserved for Ssaorun, if anyone else tries they'll get a handfull of talons!!)
• Bird can mimic speech... but it's a little horrifying. It kinda sounds like a radio station with bad reception. Generallly Bird can't say anything that they haven't heard before (they can't form their own sentences, talk like an actual person, etc) However Bird is very intelligent, and they've figured out that their mimicing voice is creepy to others. They use this to their advantage.
• Makes an assortment of owl like hoots and cat-like chirps/trills. Can also purr.
• Lovs sand/dust baths...
• Bird likes it when Ssaorun reads to them. Bird particularly loves cheesy romance novels. Sometimes Bird will cry at Ssaorun and bat their wings in his face until Ssaorun reads to them. It's become a tradition that Ssaorun always reads a little something to Bird before they both go to bed.
• The only time Ssaorun yells at Bird is when Bird is eating tape/plastic, b/c that's a bad birb!!
• Ssaorun likes to humm/sing to himself while working, and sometimes Bird joins in.
• Ssaorun knits little sweaters/socks/scarfs for Bird and Bird LOVES THEM!!
• Bird is generally pretty friendly with new people, and loves to fly around/greet others while Ssaorun is serving food to customers. However, they are also  v e r y  protective of Ssaorun, and have a sixth sense for when Ssaorun is feeling even slightly uncomfortable/stressed. Bird will either gently escort Ssaorun to his bed, or violently escort the offending person stressing Ssaorun out of the house to fix this.
• Bird knows an assortment of tricks and commands. Ssaorun also taught Bird to hunt/retrieve stuff. If Ssaorun is sick/not feeling well , Bird knows to bring him medicine/water. If requested, Bird will also hunt food and retrieve things from the communal garden (cause it's a bit of a walk, and if Ssaorun isn't feeling well he may run out of food :x )
•  Bird and Ssaorun spend many of their nights reading by the fireplace, nice and cozy in their house while the harsh desert wind howls outside.
