History: 
Amsel was born in the Kalos Region to a low income family and parents arguing more often than not. They looked to Amsel as their family's legacy, to be the first member of their family to go to college and make a life for himself. Unfortunately, the young Registeel had little interest in school--where he was bullied and isolated by his classmates--or being told how to live his life by people, he felt, could barely manage their own. He was rebellious from a young age, and were it not for his best childhood friend, Florence, he'd have likely ended up arrested before too long. That didn't mean he didn't get in trouble plenty, with the law and with school, becoming more contentious the older he got. Finally, his parents had had enough. They kicked him out, insisting he go to college if he didn't want to end up on the streets.

Through encouragement from Florence and her older sister, Danielle, he was convinced to at least try getting into college, and as far from their old neighborhood as possible. He had extended family in Goldenrod City, so he moved there to stay with them while trying to get into Ajisai. It took two attempts--first applying for fall enrollment but ultimately having to re-apply for spring after being denied--but he was fortunately smarter than his high school grades suggested. He got in, and moved onto campus to pursue his passion, Film. He doubled in engineering, if only in some attempt to appease his parents, whom he'd yet to speak to since their falling out. 

Likes: 

• Film/Movies (is always watching something in his free time, sometimes even just thru his headphones)
• Florence, his best friend--like a sister to him

• Coffee or anything caffeinated, but not sweet
• Tinkering--likes to build little metal machines even outside of his engineering classes

• Authority/being told what to do--though he's been behaving in college
• Public speaking/social engagements--actually fairly socially anxious
• Super sweet/sugary foods/drinks
• Intrusions into his personal space
• Flirting (he doesn't dislike it per say, but never knows how to react to it)
