As a young kit and apprentice Stormpaw was a force of nature with her seemingly boundless energy. She was always very curious and enjoyed patrolling and exploring the far reaches of her clan's territory. 

Stormpaw's mentor was Shadefoot. Where Stormpaw was constantly going going going Shadefoot was more methodical and her slow and steady way of doing things often irritated Stormpaw. While the mentor and apprentice did have a rocky start to their relationship they ended up being a good pair.

One day, when Stormpaw was out with her mentor exploring a network of caves on the edges of the clan's territory, a cave in occurred and Stormpaw was crushed by the falling rocks and killed. Since Stormpaw had been buried deep underneath the rubble her mentor was unable to bring her body back to the clan for a proper burial. 

When Shadefoot receives her 9 lives and becomes Shadestar Stormpaw is one of the cats who gives her a life. Stormpaw's gift was tireless energy, "With this life I give you tireless energy. Use it well to lead your clanmates through the coming battles and challenges."

- If Stormpaw had lived long enough to become a warrior her name would have been Stormcloud.

- After Cloudkit dies Stormpaw becomes a big sister figure to him in Starclan
