Profile

Name: Eryon, Eri
Gender: Female (She/Her)
Age: 18 (in Human Years)
Role: Hero, Defense/Tank
Species: Shellwing - Fantribe by Commwolf!

Eryon is a hardheaded and stubborn dragon, but holds the spirit to find fun and motivation in the worst times. Oftentimes, she's loud and defiant to authority, which tends to get on others' nerves very quickly. Simultaneously, she's very protective, and only wants to ensure the ones she cares about are out of harms way. She hates losing, but would never pass up the opportunity for a rematch. She's also a little dumb lol, and information has a hard time getting through that thick shell of hers.

Notable Features/Abilities:

  • Armored Chamber Shell Body, very tough and hard to break
  • Gills hidden under shells
  • Decent Night Vision
  • Some Scales can Faintly Glow
  • Can Spew Hot Water
  • Eryon knows both the Sign Language of her tribe, and the verbal Dragon Language
  • The majority of Shellwings have stripes on their body; she does not.

Background:
Eryon was an orphan, abandoned as an egg on the sea floor. Quite an easy snack to any passing predators, but luckily, they didn't get to her first. A passing group of Seawings found her, and quickly took her out of harms way. They delivered her to a Shellwing village near the shore, and they collectively took her in and raised her. It was weird, being raised by so many Shellwings and yet not belonging to a single one or two. Everyone knew her, she knew everyone, but she didn't quite feel wanted, or like she belonged. Over time, she developed the idea that she would need to prove herself in order to feel wanted, since she didn't have a family in her life who would want her naturally.

Long story short, she became a little but of a ruckus to her village. She'd get cranky when the dragonets her age would get more attention than her, when she was CLEARLY better than them in every way. She's strong and big and awesome, nobody could beat her at that! And if they tried, she'd just become stronger and bigger and awesomer! As she grew older, she grew out of those childish habits, but the thought still remained. Was she good enough to be wanted?

One day, she was offered a chance to attend this diverse school on the land, which she took almost as quickly as it was offered to her. A fresh start, with new dragons, and more oppurtunities! If nobody in her village was very attatched to her, then maybe someone above the sea would be. Once she arrived, she was taken aback by the awe the other classmates had found in her. Eryon had interacted with many tribes that had set up markets on the beach, but clearly these students had never seen a Shellwing before. They must have been plucked from all sorts of reigons too.

At first, it was difficult to adjust to, but it didn't take long for Eryon to start showing off and search for praise or validation from these dragons. She was naturally strong, with tough, near-impenitrable shells, and a can-do attitude. If that's not impressive and worth wanting then Eryon didn't know what was. Although, Eryon couldn't shake the feeling that she was just a cool new think to look at and admire, and not exactly another dragon underneath all that armor. Well, maybe if she just kept figuring out new and cool things that she could do, then someone would find genuine interest in her, right? This is how relationships work, isn't it?

It wasn't long before Eryon's place in this school was truly tested. An Icewing arrived. Although she was late, she shone like a star, and glimmered like the ocean during a sunrise. Her name was Lucent, and she swiftly stole Eryon's audience, and Eryon hated it. Just before Eryon thought it couldn't get any worse, Lucent was given the oppurtunity to show off her battle skills in the training grounds. She collected win after win, and she was such a good sport about it that Eryon wished her burning gaze could melt those icy scales of hers.

There is no way that such a perfect dragon could exist, Eryon thought. All dragons have flaws, and Eryon was ready to find Lucent's and expose them. If she could find out something terrible about Lucent, then she would steal back the show, and Lucent would be left in the dust. So, Eryon bided her time, and tried to find out Lucent's secrets. Eryon found out that she really liked going to this lake near the school, but that was about all she could discover about her. Lucent didn't keep a journal, or many personal belongings for that matter. Her nice and friendly facade never dropped, and Eryon found herself at a dead end. The only option Eryon had left was to confront her face to face.

Eryon traveled to the lake she knew Lucent would be lingering, but got caught in a thick cloud of fog along the way. On the other side, she found the lake, but her rival was nowhere to be seen.
