Greatest Strength

Apart from his charming charisma, Juillet is an excellent acrobat on his own, spending his free time moving around on suspended fabric. He enjoys the spanish web the most.

Greatest Weakness

He's got a couple weaknesses, from using knives to being unsettled by fire. This makes him frankly unable to cook easily and reflects in his avoidant eating habits. He's also mildly allergic to cinnamon.

Acrobatics

While he's never done any professional performances, Juillet is a really skilled acrobat, having trained under a coach for a handful of years. He was recognized as very flexible and loves doing aerial acrobatics.

Eating

Despite not making homemade food most of the time, Juillet is a fan of trying new foods at restaurants and cafes, always ordering a different item at each visit. After he tries everything he'll actually pick a go-to food.

Shopping

He is an impulse buyer so he'll always get things that catch his eye in the moment, even if its just another decoration or something that inevitably isn't used.

Positive Traits

Juillet has a natural charisma and kindness to him that draws others towards him. He's unafraid of talking to strangers and helping others if it seems they need help. Despite the bad people he has come accross, he assures himself that there are more good hearted people around, and being one will continue it in others.

Neutral Traits

He's somewhat naive and gullible. Since he was raised to be very trusting of others and his mother was a blunt person, he thought that others would be as honest as him and has trouble with sarcasm sometimes.

Negative Traits

He's a pushover who listens to others easily and lets them make decisions for him. It's as if he prefers holding someone's hand through life so he doesn't have to endure anything difficult on his own anymore. Living alone was supposed to help with that but he got his home through connections, and still got a caring roommate...

Others' Perception

Loved Ones

Loved ones consider him to be one of the sweetest people they know, since he has no ill intentions. He's more like a clingy kid than anything though.

Strangers

Strangers see his surface and think he's perhaps a supermodel by his looks, or that he's a guy who's lived an easy life.

Enemies

He doesn't really have enemies but if they're acquainted they may try to take advantage of his sincerity to appease others.

The following contains mentions of murder

Juillet was born to a pious woman who had an affair with a charming man, a pair who eloped in France, but ultimately wanted to share the rest of their early adulthood together without a child in tow. When he was born, he was dropped off at the doorstep of a single woman that'd become his mother, yet his worst nightmare as well.

At first, he'd grown up in a string of coastal french towns, having fond memories of the sea and the friends he would play with--mainly memories outside of his home. He was a boy who enjoyed his mother's company at every opportunity, although she always encouraged him to play outside while she worked from home. In truth, she was a well hidden serial killer. While she did care for Juillet as her own child, perhaps seeing him on her doorstep was a chance to hide herself better as she occasionally did her crimes. No one would suspect the sweet single mother in town. Still, there was a day that Juillet forgot something at home, and curiousity led him to a room his mother never allowed him in. Assuming she must just be a messy worker, or she was just particular about her organization, Juillet was surprised that instead he'd found evidence and tools tying her to a handful of murders he'd vaguely heard of. After all this time, their abrupt moves to other towns were understandable, and when he'd found his birth certificate, he could see the differences between them make sense.
Despite his attempts to gather as much evidence in his satchel and tell the authorities, he was caught by his mother. Both froze, stuck between the feeling of care that they had towards one another, and divided by the realization that they could no longer trust the other. The first to make a move was his hesitant mother, wanting to ensure he wouldn't tell on her, even if he'd become hurt a little. Still, Juillet tried to make his way out of the house, in the process knocking over a candle, setting the house aflame. As the home's joists fell upon them and smoke filled the air, Juillet made it out and ran and ran that night.

He wondered what had happened, what if he let his mother burn in the flames, would he also be charged like her, or was she still after him? He wasn't sure, not turning back, but his instincts led him to the doorstep of another woman, Ivory. Surprised by the exasperated child seeking shelter that night, Ivory took him in until she got a grasp of the situation at hand.

Surely enough, the whirring of police sirens passed the home frequently, and the television was enough to give Ivory a hint of the matter when Juillet wouldn't tell, fainting from a mix of exhaustion and stress. Knowing it'd be for the best, Ivory took him to investigators the next day to clear up the situation and obtain his statement for his mother's murder investigation. Seeing as the boy had no one else he considered family, yet growing attached to Ivory, she was permitted to keep him for the time being. Eventually she did officially adopt him, given that their childhoods paralled the other's to some degree, and she was likewise attached to him as a mother would be. From that moment, Ivory became the only person he'd consider a parent to him.
During their years together as a small family, Juillet was able to grow from the trauma of his childhood, still an overall sweet person with good intentions for others, just as Ivory encouraged him to be. There would be a handful of rough days for him, some where the haunting memory of his previous mother would drain him for periods of time, but Ivory always held his hand through those times, understanding him as her own mother had once tried to take her life as a child. Apart from that, he continued to grow up, and soon enough, Ivory had also adopted Belot.

Now Juillet is established as a yoga and acrobatics instructor through connections over the years, previously living alone as to learn about independency and responsibility, yet at some point Chicory had joined his side as a roommate. He lives in London, enjoying the landscape of the city and the uncertainty that comes with each passing day.

When he started to live by himself, he did it so he wouldn't rely so much on others, but his family would frequently call to check on him anyway. He never exactly got the hang of things like cooking his own meals, afraid of the fire, nor was he the neatest person when his mental health dwindled from time to time. With that lifestyle, he figured it'd be fine to mostly eat foods outside of home, frequenting cafes and so on. It was at a couple chains where he'd noticed a familiar face, a stranger who seemed to have the same tastes as him. Chicory was a medical student who simply didn't have time to cook, and focusing was tough at the shared home she lived in. After a while of becoming Juillet's friend, they'd made a decision to live together for the others' benefit; Juillet's apartment was closer to her school, she would help him to fix his bad habits, and so on.
So thats the choice they made. The two were a heavily platonic pair initially, two silly people whose existences seemed to hype the other as they accomplished their own goals. Juillet is settled with his job and mostly watches as Chicory works hard at finishing her studying to become a neurologist, rooting her on. Still, when they spend so much time together, go out together, and at times become personal with one another's lives, Juillet doesn't realize they live like a married couple, like an established couple who's skipped many steps in others' usual milestones. When Chicory asked if their feelings were mutual, amusingly, Juillet is the one who'd become flustered at her confession and his realization. With the convenience of their dynamic as is, perhaps recognizing each other as a partner wouldn't be so bad he thinks.

∙ He actually hates having his hair down as it gets caught in things or it becomes hot in the summer, but he knows he can't style it at all and if he cuts it he'll feel guilty about it..

∙ His house is very stylish and black/white in color combinations. The only thing that Chicory hates about it is the obligatory "live laugh love" decor.

∙ The stars under his eyes are tattoos.

∙ Bro cannot run for his life, he's slow.

∙ His first design was a circus acrobat, so I've kept his love for the activity but he's just a city guy now.
