ᢉ𐭩 Even though he is a Fenclaw - a fen is a type of wetland - he hates water! He’s had many traumas in the past related to water, causing a PTSD to haunt him as a kit, and it only got worse as he grew older. Ironically, he was killed in a lake as well, causing him to have a resentment for water even in the afterlife.
ᢉ𐭩 Little easter egg to like the two people reading this, the lyrics on the side go to gother with the ones on Tealdawn's page! Squidfur's first line, then Tealdawn's first line, then Tealdawn's second line, then Squidfur's second line, and it forms a part of the song! I wanted to add this to resemble their relationship and how differently they think. Tealdawn was alone for a while and is begging Squid to let him in, Squid is hesitant and in pain, but he was too late at making his decision. (I did skip three lines but they didnt really fit so uh dont be mad)
ᢉ𐭩 He likes to visit the meadow sometimes by himself to clear his head when he gets too annoyed, upset, or feels his tough demeanor falling apart.
ᢉ𐭩 You may have noticed the blue on his eartips, back, and tailtip. This would be because at apprentice age and just barely not a kit(but not an apprentice yet, he was still a loner) he was dropped into polluted water. I wanted to add some color to his design, which was half of the inspiration, and I know blue doesn’t make too much sense for polluted water but smh you got a better excuse? (please fr)

Squidfur is intelligent, quick, perceptive, quiet, stoic, stern, guarded, sometimes short tempered and altogether a dry cat. Well, thats how he'll come off to literally everyone. Truly he seeks validation from his order, Fenclaws, that have basically rejected him. He trains hard and is very strong. He comes off as confident but is actually pretty unsure. He's not described as annoying, more like reserved and intimidating.
He has trouble sleeping due to his bad case of PTSD, and can sometimes even get the PTSD while hes awake if he's near and facing a body of water, which causes him to freeze up, his ears ring, and to see flashing imagery of the events that caused this PTSD. This causes him to always be on gaurd, he's almost always on edge and secretly fearful, and will do whatever he can to keep away from water. He's become very good at masking his true feelings and intentions after years of doing it.

If you asked Squidfur's mate, Blazewing, you’d get a very different description of Squidfur than how anybody else percieves him. Blazewing is the only cat who gets to see past Squidfur"s tough exterior and into the worried, loving cat underneath. Squidfur's only loving for Blazewing, but Blazewing doesn't know that.

Tealdawn was washed away from his family in the events of a flood. Unlike Squidfur, he was eventually able to move on from these events, but he never forgot of his brother.
After many, many moons, after they were all adults, Tealdawn found his way back to Squidfur. Tealdawn tried very hard to make Squidfur see him, but Squidfur never opened up to him, partially because he was afraid to loose him again. In the end, after Squidfurs death, Tealdawn blames himself.

Jasper is posessive and obsessive! Originally a loner, he joined the Fenclaws after taking interest in Squidfur. They got together briefly, until Squidfur grew more tired, irritable and confrontational. He let go of Jasper, driving Jasper into a constant state of edginess and fustration.
Eventually, when Squidfur found out his former mentor was planning to use Jasper as a pawn to getting rid of Squidfur, he ended Jasper's life, Jasper's last words being, "You'll never make it to the orders above, you're forever condemned to an afterlife in hell." in retaliation to Squidfur saying "May the Highorder find you."Trust

Squidfur his a (very) slightly red-tinted gray shorthair cat, who is also part maine coon. He's got a faded blue on his eartips, tailtip, and back. He's got teal eyes and a pink nose. Not gonna explain everything cause you can js look at his refsheet smh

ᢉ𐭩 His scar trails along his back and shoulders.
ᢉ𐭩 He's especially tall, coming from his maine coone side of the family, and will be taller than any cat that isn't a maine coon. If the cat is a maine coon, its 50/50 wether Squidfur's taller or not.
ᢉ𐭩 His build is broad and strong, especially noticeable in the shoulders.
