IN A WORLD FULL OF HATE / LOVE SHOULD NEVER WAIT.

she knew so deeply what it meant to lose.

after every sunset, her shining eyes would always be faced towards the night sky. this vast, black firmament that hung above her never failed to be a source of comfort, glittering with stars she felt no shame regarding as close friends. she would point at one with her finger and draw out a pattern, connecting stray stars and naming the constellation they'd make. they would call her the pattern-finder; the woman who could always draw a line in the empty spaces between these distant stars and make sure they'll always be remembered as one part of a fantastic, meaningful whole.

she picked up the habit from her mother who, during their stargazing sessions, taught her what it meant to appreciate anything which had the capacity to exist. it was not until she lost her mother that she knew exactly what her words truly meant, when she felt such a discomfort in seeing lost bodies floating around the world aimlessly, struggling to find an orbit. she knew it was only right that she reached out and brought them into her own. indeed, she had become her own solar system, attracting people who would come to love her so deeply. her gravitational pull, however, did not preclude her from being forgotten by the universe.

the man who dedicates himself to remembering her hopes that, more than anything, when the car hit her on her way home, she had her eyes were pointed towards the sky, looking at the tail of a passing comet fade before she saw nothing at all.

HEAVENLY ARMS / REACH OUT TO ME.
