Song: Eternity

Baltazar – A Warrior’s Grief

Baltazar was a brave warrior, known for regularly venturing out to defend the borders from intruders.

This day was no different from the rest—he prepared for the journey, put on his armor, and said goodbye to his partner. He helped her with her needs, gently assuring her:

"I won't be long. I'll be back soon."

With that, he set off.

The mission turned out to be uneventful—just a few minor issues to resolve.

As he made his way home, he looked up at the sky and thought to himself:

"I hope I can find a cure for her illness."

---

Meanwhile, back home, his partner lay bedridden. The illness had left her severely weakened and malnourished. She could barely move, and even walking was impossible without help.

But this time, she pushed herself to act. Gathering a handful of poisonous items—plants, mushrooms, anything she could find—she crushed them and drank them down with water.

It didn’t take long before the poison began its work.

As her strength faded and death approached, she whispered into the empty air:

"I’m sorry, my love. I just can’t take it anymore."

---

When Baltazar arrived home, he greeted her cheerfully, unaware of what had transpired. As he stepped inside, he saw her lying there with a cup of water beside her.

At first, he thought nothing of it—perhaps she was simply resting.

But as he approached to greet her, she didn’t respond.

At first, he didn’t understand. He gently tried to wake her.

Panic started to rise in his chest.

Then, the truth hit him—his beloved had already passed.

He collapsed beside her, screaming in agony like never before. He held her in his arms and stayed that way until morning.

When he failed to report for patrol, his comrades came and found him still by her side.

They gently took her from him.

---

Baltazar couldn't understand why she had done it.

He clung to the belief that a cure could have been found.

He grieved for days, speaking to no one.
