Abaddon never got to know his parents, as they gave him away to the orphanage right after he was born. He was a miracle child, an angel born from two mortals, which was too much of a responsibility for them. The orphanage he stayed in was meant to take care of other supernatural children like him, so he could develop his skills in peace. Though, because the orphanage couldn't divide selected types of beings from each other, he often was a victim of bullying from demon kids. Abaddon grew up to be really quiet and withdrawn, with no will to stand up for himself.

Around the age of 10, because of overpopulation of their current orphanage, Abaddon was moved to Poland. He then spent the rest of his teenage years there, with no one adopting him at all. They learned Polish fairly quickly, mostly becaufe of fear.

He fell right after he met his first love at the age of 17 - a demon of the same age who only used him for fun, who's only goal was to make him fall in love for a man and in effect, become a fallen angel because of the sin. He left them right after they started the change.

As Abaddon turned 18, he was officially out of the orphanage and on their own; it was a difficult change for him, considering that he was always around other kids and around adults that helped them whenever it was needed, and now he had to face the world completely alone. It was scary and overwhelming at first, but he learned to be independent; he had to. Picking any job that was available, he survived a few years alone, with a few ocassional and short relationships.

They met Lucifer at a local bar for supernatural folks and despite the fact that he was much more loud, much more energetic and aggressive at a time, Abaddon fell in love with him. Lucifer himself noticed him at the bar and decided to try to hit on him. After a few drinks, they ended up in bed. Their relationship started suddenly and was filled with lots of emotions - Abaddon was really happy that he finally has somebody he could take care of (and vice versa), but because of being alone for so long, he had to learn how to be around people again. It took some time and effort from both of them - from Abaddon to open up a bit and not bottle up his emotion, and from Lucifer, to consider Abaddon's well-being and be more careful. 

Now they're Lucifer's moral compass, often force him out of trouble. Although Lucifer have his own weird ways to express his feelings, he does everything to protect them from harm and makes sure that he's safe and happy. They live together with Lucifer's son and a cat.
