The Space Pirates

It all started with an idea: "What if we didn't have to deal with Holly Blue Agate?"

Four soldier gems at the Human Zoo were fed up with their lives. They were three Amethysts and a Carnelian. They weren't all overcooked, but they were mistreated all the same. After accidentally freeing one of the bubbled Rose Quartz and revealing an overcooked runt, they realized they all needed to get out of here. The laws of Homeworld would never let them be free, and they would most certainly have Rose Quartz shattered simply for existing. The plan was to steal a ship from Homeworld and get outta there! But it wasn't that simple, of course. Their first chance was an Emerald's ship that arrived at the Zoo The Amethysts met a Blue Pearl who wanted to get away from her owner, and decided to help with their plans. They attempted to take Emerald's ship, but after a panic and huge mess that was made, someone had to be punished. The bigger Amethyst took the blame and was sent to Homeworld for rehabilitation.

She was sent to Momma Tiffany Stone's Court to be "fixed," which is where she met Pink Sapphire. Pink looked into her future and immediately volunteered to assist in her rehabilitation - which was a complete, and welcomed, surprise to Momma. The truth was, Pink Sapphire could see Amethyst's plan coming true, but only with a slim chance of success at the moment. Under the guise of "fixing" Amethyst, Pink Sapphire and Pink Jade offered their help, as they also wanted to leave. The plan then was to find the Blue Pearl that Amethyst wanted to see again (desperately) and find a ship to take to the Zoo. They kept up this ruse for a long while (even from Pink Sapphire's assigned Pearl) and managed to get a Roaming Eye (Ruby Ship). However, it wasn't without witness- Momma and her court, as well as Emerald and her crew, all saw the large Amethyst steal a ship and kidnap a Pearl, Jade, and Sapphire. This is the story that would be thrown around Homeworld, but the truth was that they were all Rebels.

The easiest part came when they arrived at the Zoo again, taking the other two Amethysts and Rose Quartz. This was it- they were now Space Pirates! A crew of three Amethysts, and Rose Quartz, a Pearl, a Jade, and a Sapphire. When it was asked why Carnelian did not come along in the end, they relayed her message:

"When you find someone in this vast open cosmos that you love - you are free."

One fateful day at the Human Zoo, Emerald stopped by with her crew for a personal tour of the facility. Glossy Blue Pearl tried to escape away from the group, and was found by a soldier Amethyst. Thinking she was in trouble, she tried to explain her absence from the group. But even she realized she was in bigger trouble- this Amethyst was really hot. They both fell for each other, realizing the other was just as rebellious as the other (seeing as they both were not at their respective posts). They had only met the once, but planned to meet again, and to escape the clutches of Homeworld together.
