Steven

 OVERVIEW

An optimistic, goofy himbo that can be surprisingly introspective. He's like a cross between Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist and Craig and the protag from Dream Daddy.

PERSONALITY

On the surface, Steven is this goofy himbo of a gym teacher. Constantly sporting and upbeat attitude and radiating dorky dad vibes. He's the kind of guy that sits backwards on a chair to "rap with the kids" when giving advice and life lessons. He's not always the best at reading a room.

Despite his goofy exterior, Steven does have a wise and introspective side to him. He knows when to be serious and dish out important life lessons. Steven likes to build his students up, but also give them advice on where they need to improve. Including his own daughter. He feels that as adults, we should look out for the younger generation instead of tearing them down.

Steven is a firm believer in "Teamwork makes the Dream Work". He makes sure everyone on the basketball team he coaches gets a chance at playing. He's a fair sport through and through.

Steven is an outgoing extrovert. 

HISTORY/BIOGRAPHY

Steven had a fairly happy childhood. He was a rambunctious, spitfire of a child. His parents were caring and active. Steven has fond memories of camping and other family outings. 

Steven was an athletic boy. Steven had an older sister he’d get into all sorts of shenanigans with. He played basketball from when he was 10 up til he was 17 or 18.

Steven was the kid that thought the teacher sitting backwards in a chair to "rap with the kids'' was the coolest thing ever. (Something he'd implement into his lessons later in life, much to his daughter's chagrin).

After high school, Steven went to college, hoping to play on the basketball team, but opted  to become a gym teacher instead. During college, Steven had fallen for Maurice, a man studying to become a literature teacher. Steven always had a soft spot for the smart types. 

At age 23, Steven became a parent to a baby girl, named Brooke. She was conceived through artificial insemination. Little Brooke was doted on heavily by Steven.  About 3 years later, Steven and Maurice had a son named Eddie. He was also born from artificial insemination, but with Maurice's seed this time around.

After graduation, Steven had found himself teaching gym at a high school, as well as the coach of the co-ed basketball team. 

As the years went on, Maurice found himself falling out of love with Steven. The enthusiasm he once found endearing became grating  Maurice tried keeping it under wraps for the sake of his kids, and buried himself in his work instead. Once the spark had completely diminished, he sat Steven down to talk about it. Steven was devastated at the revelation. The split was amicable, but extremely depressing for Steven, who still loved Maurice. Not to mention, the stress the kids went through knowing their daddies were splitting. To this day, the two are still on speaking terms, and have joint custody of the kids.

Steven was able to find love again. He had fallen for a man named Ash Gray, and became a stepfather to Ash’s daughter, Lexxie.
