Lux doesn't have the desire to be the villian anymore, he's seen that route to the end already. Nowadays he comes off as pretty gentle and is even eager to help out others when given a chance! However, since plenty of time has passed since the last time Lux has actually interacted with anyone, he's as awkward as anyone could expect.

He was a sort of fairytale villian in his previous life! He used to have it all: a castle, a bounty of riches and power. He owed much of his success to a cursed magic sword and his clairvoyance.

But as fairytales go, the villian is eventually slain by a noble hero. 

With him out of the way, everything he worked towards just fell apart. The once mighty castle eventually broke down, all the wealth that he accumulated throughout his life was stolen and his sword was sealed away, along with the arm that wielded it. The story of the Desert King eventually faded away as centuries passed.

Lux was eventually resurrected on accident. The one who tried to bring him back to the land of the living was a novice witch attempting a powerful spell on a randomly unearthered body, not knowing who he once was. The attempt resulted in a failure which left Lux as an incomplete entity, a zombie basically. When he came to his senses, he was already alone. The witch had quickly made a run for it once they realized they made a mistake. Though distraught at the sight of his body at first, he eventually came to terms with it and figured that if magic can bring back this much of him, more .

He's now on a quest to reclaim his missing sword and arm! He currently wanders around the desert that was once his in search of them.

+ Even in his past life Lux was pretty bad at interacting with other people; he didn't feel the need to learn how to be close to others with the things he wanted to accomplish in mind. Now that he doesn't really have much to do aside from finding his lost pieces, he figures that having friends to help him out would be nice. He likes getting attention nowadays and would like to be doted on.

+ Thanks to his cursed sword, Lux was incredibly hard to kill in his past life. He was once beheaded but thanks to the power it gave him, he survived and it healed up just fine (aside from that scar around his neck). His only weakspot was his heart so you can guess where that aforementioned hero struck when Lux was slain.

+ His hands are stained black because when he held that sword for the first time, its tainted magic attempted to spread to the rest of his body and kill him. He had to cut them off (hence the scars) but a sort of blood-pact was made in that moment, making him its new wielder, so they were re-attached and "healed" to the point where he could use them normally.

+ Despite the fact that he isn't nearly as strong as he used to be, Lux still enjoys a good fight. He even picks fights with other magic wielders whenever he pleases.

+ He's a loser who reads people's fortunes for a living now.
