Profile

PERSONALITY:

Muranu has a generally upbeat, happy personality. He's always hyperactive and smiling. He's also rather mischievous, and can easily get up to no good. He's sometimes caught with things he isn't supposed to have, whether they belong to one of his boyfriends, or it's something he stole (usually food). Underneath the cheery exterior, he has some problems. He's quite depressed, and is suffering with the loss of his civilization. He feels intense guilt about not waking up to protect his people, and misses his prince intensely. He has a lot to get through before he can be happy again.

APPEARANCE:

Muranu has fluffy, golden-blond hair, that cascades down his back in long curls, reaching his mid-thighs. His eyes are bright blue, framed by long golden eyelashes. When he's been sunbathing a lot, light freckles appear on his face and shoulders.

His dragon form is smaller than most dragons, being a foot or two taller than a large horse. He retains his horns and golden color, and looks somewhat similar to a lion with wings, but lacks most of the mane. This is how he received his name, meaning 'little lion'.

BACKSTORY:

Muranu was born in the far north to two other dragon shifter parents. He became rather interested in humans and travelling early on after meeting a travelling mage who spoke his language. He left, headed south, once he was old enough to be independent. He traveled place to place, visiting early camps and civilizations. After many years of this, he came across Babylon, the city that he fell in love with. Dragons were somewhat uncommon in the area, so the townspeople marveled over him after he had gained their trust. He lived there during the reign of many different rulers, becoming like a god in the city. The people called him Muranu, due to his lion-like appearance, and the name stuck. Muranu lived in his own temple, and got around with many different men and women. He enjoyed fighting and defending the city, as well as going out on hunts with Babylon's finest hunters. Soon, a certain young prince caught his eye. He grew very close to the prince, and eventually they fell in love, and became nearly inseparable. Although Muranu had many lovers at times, his prince was always his favorite, the one he adored above all else. His prince had a secret temple built out in the mountains, where the two often went to spend time together and make love away from others. When wartime came to Babylon, Muranu met his match in battle. His enemy had the same power as him, if not stronger; and dealt a blow that would have ended Muranu's life if he was not immediately helped. His prince brought him to their temple to heal, sealing him away in an underground tomb enchanted to heal him, and not let him leave until he had been fully healed. Muranu's wounds were cursed, and until that enemy passed away, thousands of years later, Muranu did not heal. He would fade in and out of consciousness the whole time he was sealed away, but he had no idea how long he had been locked up. He would scream and scratch and pound at the walls of the tomb around him, but to no avail. He could not escape so long as he was still wounded. He finally rose from his healing slumber in the modern day, emerging from his tomb to rush back to Babylon and into his prince's arms. He instead encountered the researcher, Pavot, and another dragon who had taken up residence nearby, Lykos.

He does not want to come to terms with the fact that Babylon is long gone. He refuses to believe he will never see his prince again, despite his sorrow at being locked up for thousands of years. He tries to remain optimistic, despite everything he knew being long gone.
