Afzal Murad

Afzal's goal above all is to prove himself to be the most powerful. He will undergo any challenge, and any physical test to prove to everyone around him that he's the strongest of them all. During his home country's invasion of a far off land, he heard of a person living in the forests who has incredible strength...and so he went to hunt. He and Vieno clashed for a long while, neither ever quite winning completely. Through it all, Vieno remained stubbornly kind and sportsmanlike with Afzal...and even when a magic flare left Afzal hurt incredibly badly, Vieno ended up just patiently nursing him back to health. This forced Afzal to put up with Vieno's chatter, which he eventually began to respond to...and by the time he had recovered enough to function on his own, he found that he didn't want to crush the snow leopard anymore. The two have since become an unexpected couple, romantically committed to each other, but open to outside relationships so long as all parties are aware of the situation. Afzal is more intelligent than most give him credit for, and is often the logic of whatever situations or pursuits he and Vieno are involved in while his partner is the heart of the operation. 

Afzal is a little over 10 feet tall, and utilizes the bony growth on his shoulders and knuckles the most in battle.

In most settings, Vieno and Afzal find themselves in an urban fantasy setting. Once they establish themselves, they open up a special wildlife and youth outreach. They take in troubled youth as well as wild and exotic animals in need of special care or rehabilitation. They take great pride in their program, working constantly to help their children grow and flourish, as well as their animals. Most who go through the program leave calling the two 'the dads' and still maintain relationships with them. Afzal and Vieno's support extends for as long as their kids need them, once their child, always their child.
