Rio

Rio was a typical small-town girl, with her little group of friends coasting her way through school. Nothing in her life ever seemed to change. She spent every day bickering with her brother and gossiping about the other people who never came or went in her boring hometown. That is, until her mother went missing. The search was given up quickly and she was presumed dead, but little middle-school Rio needed to find her mother. She ran away from home and went out on her own to find her, but was met with a terrible fate of her own: she was tricked into prostitution. For the time she should have spent in high school, she lived in a nightmare. She always wanted to get out, but eventually she was too worn down to have any hope. 

Until one lucky day, three years after she went into the "factory". Clive, a treasure hunter who had the ability to sense anything that had been lost, came across her. She was a lost treasure in the eyes of Clive's powers, a girl with so much hope and potential who had basically been sentenced to death in this place. Rio and Clive devised a plan to get her out of there: pretending to be engaged. But of course, this pretend engagement came with some lying and some joking wedding planning, and they fell in love as he took her on the rest of his journey around the world and then back home with him. They got married soon after they went home, and although it's still hard for Rio to fight through her own trauma, she finally has the life she always wanted. 

After getting back to Clive's home, they discovered that Rio sustained permanent damage to her cerebellum at an unknown time in the factory. She walks with a bit of a limp and struggles with tasks that require speed or coordination. She speaks properly, but her words can come out slurred. The support of her husband and their dog, a German shepherd named Zoltan, is helping her with the constant visits to the doctor's office, and she's learning all the amazing things she can do despite this. She is quite talented at singing, cooking and baking, and listening to others and giving advice. She loves to shop and go out late at night, where she can see the lights in a city or the stars in a more secluded location. She has befriended many members of two secret organizations, the PM Alliance and the Society of the 17th, who her husband has a lot of connections with and visits a lot.
