Personality report

Pragmatic - Distant - Level-headed - Industrious

Realism's main focus seems to be on being as productive as possible for the company. They spend little time conversing with other employees or lingering in the Central Command homeroom, rather choosing to "walk with a purpose" in laps around the hallways until assigned to a task. They claim to work best by themself and prefer not to keep close attachments. When they find themself obligated to speak, it is blunt and painfully honest, often to the incredible discomfort of everyone else. Though, if confronted about hurt feelings, they seem oblivious to their actions and sincerely apologetic.

Realism tries and fails not to concern themself with issues in other departments. They have expressed concerns about the efficacy and professionalism in the upper tiers, though have learned to hold their tongue about it with a frown following one too many "talking to's" about patrolling outside of Central Command when not instructed to. This is the only topic that they seem to have more than one-word replies about.

Combat is where Realism's traits shine brightest. They have a strong sense of justice and confidence in their abilities, and rightfully so. Where they may jump into suppressions impulsively, their movements and decisions appear precisely calculated and powerful. They seem to value the lives of their coworkers enough to defend them in battle, but not enough to rescue them should they lose their minds or corrode. "It's much more efficient to put them out of their misery."

Additional notes & Mannerisms

ASSIGNMENTS (PREVIOUS): Crumbling armor, One Sin and Hundreds of Good Deeds
ASSIGNMENTS (CURRENT): Blue star (Primary), Der Freischütz

  • - Walks with near perfect posture, with one hand on the hilt of their sword at all times. Alternatively, they may fidget with the edge of their left glove.

  • - Crumbling Armor EGO gift (Flames) change intensity and cover depending on physical and mental state. At rest, the flames are sparse and typically more centralized to the thorns on their head. In battle, the flames may cover as much as 70% of their body.

  • - One Sin's EGO gift suppresses the effects of Crumbling Armor's EGO gift, though Realism has reported sparse bouts of boosted strength followed by extreme fatigue during battle. Effect seems dependent on flame intensity.

  • - Tanks damage exceptionally well. In the heat of battle, most direct blows will not phase her until she re-sheaths her sword, at which point it seems her pain receptors begin to work again.

  • - Can sometimes be observed talking to themself or an invisible third party. When questioned, they appear to not understand what the other person is asking about and deny speaking out loud in the first place.

  • - Mildly notable relationship with the Central Command team captain at the time (Dakota).

  • - Realism is not permitted to enter Porccubus's containment at any time.

Speech

Short, straight-to-the-point sentences. Prolonged conversations are avoided, but can be coaxed out, especially by higher ranking employees (or by bringing up a topic they are particularly passionate about... such as the inefficiency of the other departments). Seems to grow increasingly uncomfortable the longer an interaction continues. Responses become significantly drier or absent entirely save for nods and hums after only a few minutes.

Background

Origin

Realism does not remember where they came from, and neither does anyone else, it seems. Most information on their employment records are struck and the unredacted version seems to have gotten lost. It can be assumed they have recieved some form of highereducation, given their ability (and affinity) to read and write as well as some world knowledge about The City.

Turning Point

When Realism first appeared in L Corp, they approached this work with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. They were a "manager's pet", the perfect employee. They never panicked, no matter the horrors they were sent to suppress. Orders were followed blindly, recklessly, to a fault.
When they were assigned to Crumbling Armor, this did not waver. In fact, they put the ego gift bestowed upon them to great use, enjoying the boosted strength that came with being doused in it's flame. As an additional result of the work they did, they developed a strong sense of justice.
Predictably, things started to turn sour the longer they worked with the Armor. While Realism's strength increased dramatically, they began to develop a severe form of hemophilia. Any wounds they collected would bleed profusely and refuse to even begin healing for several weeks. They were quickly put out of commission, and simultaneously, their once chipper attitude started to turn dull.
When they were somewhat back on their feet, they were re-assigned to One Sin given that it posed little to no threat to any employee. This way, they could still produce good work for the company, even in their weakened state. What wasn't expected was the dramatic rise in energy they would have after working with the abnormality only a few times. They weren't quite their old self, no, but the dullness and disintrest with life had given way to a re-lit spark. By the end of the month, their flames had been doused and replaced with a crown of golden thorns; A gift from the divine.

Presently

Realism moved from the upper departments down to Central Command, where she continued to rise in ranks through her exceptional with (primarily) Blue Star and Der Freischütz. They have retained their unquestioning loyalty and sense of justice, though are much less reckless in their actions. They are cold, calculating, and reliable. Most of their work consists of assisting other departments in suppressing anomalies or intruders.
They do not closely associate with anyone else in their department nor the rest of the facility, though they quite loyally report to the Central Command captain at the end of each work day. Dakota seems to enjoy their company, however sparse it may be.
