History
"I know the woman you lost left a void I can never fill. She was your soulmate... but you are mine, and I don't want to just give up and let you leave me behind,
QUICK PRE-ISLAND HISTORY - Mokota was born in Centrium to Alicia and Baelyn. Due to Alicia being banished, Baelyn and his new partner adopted Moki and his siblings to raise. However, his step-mother, Jayla, snapped and the results was the family being separated. Mokota was saved from Jayla by Baelyn, while his brother Zatyr was taken in by another family. Jayla killed their third brother. For the ~14 years of his life, he and his dad were loners, wandering area to area, often chasing the seasons. During their travels they met up with a few other young males; Ara Sae, Taelen, and Loonsan. They soon all traveled together as a Bachelor Pack, sometimes even jumping worlds in an attempt to find better situation for living. Eventually, Baelyn caught wind of Alicia still being alive and living on Fayley.
QUICK ISLAND HISTORY - When Mokota and the "Bachelors" made it to the island, he was about 16 years old. He was still very pup-like, a bit behind developmentally. Baelyn was quick to find and rekindle connections with Alicia and a few other Vargin, thus jumpstarting their lives on the island. It did not take long for Mokota to start to grow properly and discover himself. In fact, just a year into staying on the island, he met Rathorn and begged him to take him as an apprentice. Rathorn finally agreed, but then Mokota had to face his dad's views on the matter. It took a lot of time, and a lot of fighting, before Mokota was able to leave the island for official training with the Black Suns Guild. At training with the guild, he met and befriended Kyra, as well as trained under Grant. After a few years of hard training, Mokota returned to the island to fully apprentice under Rathorn. Upon his return, and maybe with a lapse of judgement, Thorn and Moki started to get *involved* with each other. While they vowed to keep it on the down low, and swore it was nothing serious for the longest time, Kyra being sent to train with Thorn brought to light how attached the two had gotten. While it wasn't the most healthy relationship in the beginning (Moki was young and stupider than he is now), Rathorn was patient with Moki and allowed him to grow (as well as make extremely dumb mistakes). Even being possessed by the Demon of Greed and siring a litter of two with Riska Mitts didn't break them up, though it certainly was a trial for them. After Moki and Thorn had brought the devil that plagued the island down, Rathorn was given the crown. At his coronation, Thorn asked Moki to join him as a King, and the two were married the same day. Since their wedding, Mokota has grown not only into Rathorn's husband, but the King in charge of the Military and Security aspects of the Island. He has gone to war and faced beasts for the island, while also tarnishing his own name to protect a child that he (and Thorn) adopted. His reputation means nothing to him when it comes to protecting others. When Rathorn vanished (presumed dead) after the fall of the Black Market, he married another. He did love his wife, but when Thorn was found alive, he could not stay with her. She left shortly after awakening from the Slumber, leaving Thorn and Moki happy to renew their vows and to reestablish their roles as Kings of Fayley.

Personality
Playful
Mokota is about as playful as they come. While he has become skilled at knowing when to be "professional", he still is a master of good humor, jokes and warm company. He enjoys rough-housing with his brothers and nephews, joking with Rathorn, and playfully teasing his other friends.
Affectionate
A dictonary example of a Vargin, really, Mokota is extremely upfront with how he feels about people. This results in lots of physical affection to all of his friends and family. From hugs, holding hands, or forehead bumps, Moki is going to let you know that he loves you at all times.
Determined
Determined or stubborn, there is one hell of a fine line here. Mokota has issues with admitting defeat, and even greater issues with failing those he loves. This has led him into blood-thisty rages, month long hunts, and so much physical harm to himself that its a surprise he's still alive.
Loyal
A 'pack' is everything to a Vargin, and Moki is no exception. His family is his whole world, and he would do anything for them. To those he calls his people, he will gladly trek into hell with them and come out victorious or not come back out at all.
Stupid
While he is extremely book-smart when it comes to monsters, beasts and demons, Moki is hella' dumb. Book based intelligence only goes so far when you are known to pee on what is yours, lick frozen poles and other teenage-boy antics.
Glutton
After spending much of his childhood not knowing when his next meal would be, Mokota has turned into a glutton. Any food at any time. He will often have snacks with him, or will pause projects just so he can go grab something to eat. While he has learned how to adjust his life to make this trait less disruptive, he still is a foodie inside and out.

Summary
Family Life
Over all, Mokota's family life is very relaxed and loving. No matter what side of the family we are talking about, he is the loyal and goofy baby of the group. With his Vargin family, he is held as a high rank within the "pack", but he is not treated as a king when alone with them unless duity calls. Instead, he is more like a second-in-command under his Father (and partner) and Mother (and partner). Even with others seeing him as a upper-ranking member of the family, he still sees himself as the baby of the group, and much rather not have any responsibility of holding the family together unless he absolutely needs to. He still has a bedroom at his father's home for those nights that he just wants to spend some time with his vargin kin.
His family life with Rathorn is very chaotic, but full of love and devotion. Mokota respects his husband as the true leader of the family, and tends to ask Thorn for verification on most things before he does them. If you were to put hidden cameras in their home, you would see lots of love with Moki lavishing his kids and husband in hugs, kisses and play. You may also see lots of pointless bickering between Moki and Thorn, but this bickering is usually in good fun, or purely Mokota being a young pest to his husband. Thorn and Moki have a very steamy, intimate relationship when out of the gaze of their children, and often spend their evenings with sometimes heavily romantic nights, others just lazy cuddling.
Life As King
Life as a king was not something Mokota ever had planned. Since the moment he took the second crown to the island, the council and many of the citizens doubted him, often claiming he was too young, too stupid or not serious enough for the role. When Rathorn went MIA, Mokota took the concerns to heart and, with the help of Kyra and a few others, learned to step up and start to work on himself FOR his people.
By the time of the Awakening, aside from needing to heal some like all of the other people on the island, Mokota has grown to be a fairly steady and reliable young King. There are still people that question him, especially with the involvement of the Sun Pack on the island. People question if a "savage" raced person can rule the island long term. Mokota does his best to not let those types of comments get to him, but rather pays attention to ways he can continue to provide stability for his people and family, while also proving that his race is harmless.
Other Important Aspects of Life
Within the Demon Hunting community, Mokota (before the slumber) was a bit of a protege. He was one of the youngest apprentices to finish their training (with flying colors), and has a track record of taking down some of the most difficult creatures. Of course, his skills mostly rest in combat, and he has had no shame asking other hunters for information on creatures before he jumps into a case. After the slumber, his Demon Hunting has tapered off a bit. He goes on hunts for pests on and around the Island occasionally, but in the 300 years of the Slumber, the Black Suns guild has shrunk in size and has been laying low, making contracts harder to come by.
On Centrium, Mokota had almost no name for himself. Since he didn't disclose who his mother was when he returned in his adulthood, he had no rank. During his time of living with the Coastal Pack, he did earn a highly-praised name as being a great hunter and provider for his partner and grandfather, whom he lived with. His ranking on Centrium was not important to him, and he did not strive to be anything more or less than he was naturally.
Rathorn
[ Husband ]
Moki has been to hell and back with Thorn, literally! Despite having a start of their relationship that was against rules (and morals to many people), the two of them are doing their best not only as kings, but for each other. Mokota loves the duality that Thorn presents, but also admires how Thorn always gives him a chance to grow and learn, no matter the situation.
Alicia Stalors
[ Biological Mother ]
Mokota's bio-mom, he became friends with her before he realized how they were related. He loves Ali through and through, and often turns to her for guidance when he is uncertain. Alicia is always pushing him to be better, and while it frustrates him, he appreciates it. Ali also scares the living shit out of him, and he is constantly thankful that they are on each other's sides.
Ara Sae FloraOralas
[ Mother's Parter, Former Bachelor Pack Brother ]
Ara Sae was one of Mokota's "brothers" within the Bachelor Pack before they came to Fayley. He could always turn to Sae for a kind word, some encouragement and warm affection if he needed it. To this day, he still occasionally turns to Sae if he is feeling especially depressed or gloomy. He and Sae haven't spent too much time together alone like they used to, but he knows that he still has a brother-figure in the Silver Vargin.
Baelyn Thalors
[ Father ]
There are few people in the world that can work Moki like Baelyn. The two have hit many rough patches in their relationship, but they always find ways to make amends and come to an agreement. While Baelyn is a source of comfort for Moki, he is also one of the biggest sources of worry. Mokota is always worrying about how Bae is doing and making sure he is alright at all times.
Thomas Grant Jr.
[ Former Mentor, Father's Partner ]
Grant was one of Mokota's first true mentors, aside from Rathorn, in the Black Suns. He quickly hit it off with the Dhampyr man, and the two became good friends despite the mentor-apprentice relationship. Grant was one of the first people to teach Moki how to use his flaws to his advantage, and often gave him room to make mistakes and grow. Now, when not in the presence of his father, Mokota tends to joke and banter with Grant as if they are long-time high school friends. Mokota trusts Grant more than he trusts most other people, and rarely questions what the dhampyr does, knowing that there is a good reason. Because of this, he had no issues when he learned that Grant and his Father had a blooming relationship. Instead, he accepted the pairing and encouraged the others to accept it as well.
Maylagold Kich
[ Friend ]
One of Mokota's first friends when he moved to the island, Maylagold has continued to be there for him through the years. He doesn't get to spend as much time with her as he would like, but they often are texting each other or sneak away to have lunch at one of the bakeries in town. Mokota loves her sincere nature, and how she is always there to help him feel better when he feels unwanted.
Kyra Evenglade
[ Friend ]
His first love, Kyra and Mokota were a 'fling' while in training with the Black Suns Guild. While their relationship didn't work out as a couple, the two of them split in peace, and Kyra continued to be Moki's supporter and resource. She isn't afraid to tell Moki how it is, and he is thankful for it. He knows he can be stupid, and Kyra is usually the first to tell him.
Nikan Dayson
[ Family friend ]
One of his most unexpected friends, he met Nikan through his mother's friends. After the fall of the Devil, and Nikan's passing, he tried his best to bring Nikan back. Of course, he failed, and he was less close with "Alt-Niki". However, with the return of the REAL Nikan, he has made sure to spend a few mornings with him, catching up and enjoying a meal together.
