What could be said about a reindeer man like that? It baffles the mind how a man like him came to be in possession of such acuity. His fiery passion outpaced by his cool intellect, he crafts plans and executes them with such excited ferverency. He maintains an abode that is less than he deserves but which feeds his ample curiosity. Only the most desperate of souls knock on his door.It must be the tie. Despite his...unusual appearance he is quite the charmer. Too bad he doesn't quite understand how normal people work.

Personality

To In overall terms, his personality is that of two fronts. The first is calm and calculating, but shallow. His inner or true personality is firey and passionate. He is reckless when it comes to his passions. Life is pithy when compared to them. Equally strong is his imaginativeness. York likes to imagine things are better and brighter than they are, like his clothing or his house. This comes from the age old notion of the artist filling in the details for him. In a way he is so used to being in poor situations due to his previous purpose that he sees little reason to change his surroundings. He only hates when people judge him based on his living situation. Other than that he somewhat enjoys fantasizing.

For example, most of the time he imagines that his office is a nice dull grey color with lots of plants. A shiny new coffee maker rests on a marble counter behind his mahogony desk.

His real office is much seedier than that with peeling brown wallpaper, a folding card table as a desk and an old tiled counter where a stained pot of coffee lies precariously close to the edge. He doesn't get very much work in the beginning due to this and its not till Babs points this out (or rather pointedly refuses to enter his office) that York decides to improve his living quarters.

"It's not dirty only mildly...hazardous."

At the time of creation the artist was still quite young and artistically limited. However they invested a lot of time into the design which would become York, resulting in his simplistic but charming visage.

A piebald reindeer that can walk on either two or four limbs. He doesn't wear much, but he loves ties. I mean, what professional doesn't wear a tie? He is otherwise unadorned, and especially dislikes anything being put on his horns. "They're very sensitive."

Summary

Created exactly twenty nine years ago, he sprung from mind of an artist who hoped to cope with a deep and mysterious trama. Of course, as of then he had no corporeal form. He barely existed in thoughts and dreams, a half-formed idea. But at some point...something changed. He became more than the accumulation of concepts and trains of thought. At some point he'd become self-aware.

What happened after was foggy at best. How much time had passed? Was it only minutes, days, years? Nothing but drifting in inky black. Spots of light started to appear, faint as stars, drawing closer with every blink of lashes against skin. Suddenly everything was negative, awash with blinding white, a blindness set in seeming to last forever until finally fading to shapes. Recognizable shapes, a bed, a lamp. But different. The young artist did not think his thoughts for him, only the echo of his own thoughts rung out within his head. The first few days were difficult as he adjusted to being alone. He finally pulled himself together around the fifth day and took a look in the mirror. It took him two more weeks to deal with that. Was this existing? Or just a deeper layer of the artist's imagination? He pushed those thoughts away to focus on more important things. He could breathe now, he could hurt.

Finding out why the house existed, where he was and why he was in this body was the first case he solved. After that, it was heartbreaking to find out there were few jobs for him as a talking upright reindeer other that sideshow freak, mercenary, or private investigator. The cases are few, but they are always fascinating...

Relationships
117488_Hpf5kbhTBSh3ZyQ.png【Bon-Bon】 Eventual Partner A Trickster at heart, Bon-Bon has used her freedom from the Artist's control to suit her own wants by pulling pranks and stealing valuebles. Using her cuteness to charm others is a major part of her arsenal, along with crocodile tears and a knack for climbing. York finds her baffling and yet, alluring. The way she makes him feel endlessly fustrates and confuses him..
117471_eSpfvhvRH8T4wQn.png【Babs】 The man with connections Babs is the man on the inside, the man who knows the brother's cousin's uncle who has the inside scoop on the case. His trade is information along with his knack for knitting. He is often found with his latest project adorned upon him. He holds a distinct disgust for York's dingy living quarters.
