My mom is an oncology patient

She was hospitalized for 3 months due to necrotizing fasciitis in her hand and foot, which was caused while trying to place an IV line for hydration. She also developed bilateral pleural effusion, which required the placement of a chest tube. Now, thankfully, she is stable and at home, but she needs a minor surgery to place a port catheter for chemotherapy, since she can no longer receive treatments through peripheral veins (arms or legs). This procedure is essential for her to continue her treatment safely and to avoid complications like the fasciitis from happening again.
The cost of this surgery is around 2,000 USD, an amount I currently don’t have. I will be working hard to raise it, while also being responsible for maintaining the household and covering the rest of her medical expenses.
