His occupation is a magician and he’s in love with a pretty ordinary girl.

He asked her out by asking her to pick a card (which was Ace of Hearts), place it back in the deck, let her shuffle it, and he was to guess which one it was. He guessed wrong multiple times on purpose and picked a bunch of cards from random from the deck. After guessing wrong a few times, he turned and paced around a bit looking deep in thought. When his back was to her he exclaimed “AH HA!” and turned around revealing the Ace of Hearts (with the words “I love you” scrawled on it) on his card deck head.

Then he asked her to be his assistant (he didn’t have the guts to ask her to be his girlfriend at the time) and she agreed.
