Hailey

Bio

Hailey is a robot. She and her family live in the town of Monstrobo, in a secret lab hidden underground which no one knows the location of. Her older siblings are Mac and Camilla, the town's resident superheroes. However, she mostly stays out of their way when they go out, preferring to instead get up to various tricks and shenanigans with her other older sister and Mac's "evil" twin, Maple.

Personality

Hailey suffers from severe narcolepsy, which causes her to feel sleepy or fall asleep at inappropriate times of the day. Yes, I know this isn't technically a personality trait. However, Hailey's narcolepsy has affected her way of life for a very, very long time. Her general laxness and sleepiness has caused others to view her as either lazy or simpleminded, which she hates. As a result, she has a tendency to speak her mind at all times, even when it would be considered rude. She tries very hard to play catch-up when she feels like she's missed something, resulting in a bunch of overcompensation for the most minor things. When she's relaxed, though, she does tend to go with the flow without thinking too much about it. She's always bored, always going along with Maple's schemes due to having nothing better to do. And when she feels like there really is nothing for her to do, her mind wanders off to a different place entirely. That being said, Hailey does know when to lock in, and when she does, she locks in. A focused Hailey is a scary Hailey.

Abilities

Hailey has the ability to transform parts of her body into different types of sweets, candy and desserts. In fact, her "normal" appearance is a side effect of this power, causing her to look like an asymmetrical mishmash of candy. The candy she turns into can also include the wrappers, sticks or cans that they come in. The type of candy she turns into has different properties, like elemental effects. Her giant spring left arm is especially potent, and is where most of her raw damage comes from.

Past life

Hailey was created in her lab by her father, also known as 'Dad'. The circumstances of her birth were a little unusual; Dad originally designed her with the ability to transform into different elements, like fire, water, ice, etc. But 5-year-old Mac accidentally dropped candy into the gestating tube while she was still forming, which gave her her unique appearance and powers. Despite it not being part of the initial plan, Dad rolled with it. Hailey had a normal childhood otherwise, being homeschooled and hanging out with her siblings.

Fun facts

• A list of all the candy that makes up her "default" appearance: her head is a chocolate ball with little colored candies for eyebrows/piercings and dark and white chocolate drizzle for hair and facelines; her afro twintails are cotton candy on her left and Neapolitan ice cream on her right; her neck's a lollipop stick; her body is ice cream cake; her spring arm is tape bubblegum with ice cream sandwiches for the giant hand; her left leg consists of a popsicle and stick for the thigh, a sandwich cookie with chocolate filling (the type with the holes) for the knee and a shoe-shaped lollipop sucker and stick for the foot (attached to the knee with honey); her right leg consists of a twisty cinnamon breadstick for the thigh, a donut with a bite taken out of it for the knee and a candy dispenser for the foot.
• Her right arm is the only part of her that's not candy. Thus, it does not change with the rest of her whenever she transforms.
• If Hailey were "normal" (aka if she wasn't fused with candy during the creation process), she'd be purple. She'd probably also be more symmetrical.
• Soda/soft drinks are counted as sweets. Whenever she transforms a body part into soda, she includes the can and the straw, with the liquid being able to be used like traditional water elemental powers. She can even change the drinks to be of different branding. Dr Pepper, anyone?
• Sweet potatoes and their respective dishes are also counted as sweets and are thus eligible to be transformed into... for some reason.
• Hailey is edible. Even if her transformed body part includes the can/straw/wrapping/normally inedible accessory, it's actually safe to eat, even tasting like the respective sweet. She hates it, though. Eating her is rude.
• When idle, Hailey tends to tilt her head to one side.
• She says "mmyeah" a lot.
• In Maple's "evil team", Hailey is designated as "Evil Camilla"
• Even at 13 years old, Hailey is already as tall as 19-year-old Mac and Maple. She'd probably surpass Camilla's height when she reaches her age.
